You only need look at the table to see what an incredibly tight division this is.It's quite remarkable that given our form we are still where we are but it points to the fact that there's huge inconsistency everywhere. I don't care whether or not we go up but I'd like to see us with a settled side going forward. #no kackinghere.
Anyway on the question of Slater I think he’s got a cracking shot , quick feet and is mobile , if he gets the right passes he could possibly play up front obviously with someone to help . His shot the other night was cracking and his others got blocked but he’s technically good.
92000 dead during the fall of France says differently. However at the beginning of the war the French Army was the largest in Europe and with the Hotchkiss tank more than a match for the German Panzers they should have stopped the Germans. It’s all history now and is there for debate.
That was in my thoughts when I posted. You do wonder how the War would've panned out if the French had stood firm but no more from me,the thread is heading for a rammy,I'm heading for the pub.
Absolutely this, I said this at the time. My son was a goal keeper, trained when challenged in his box to get his knee/elbows out, give challengers something to think about, but this was outside his area, surely he loses his “extra protection” so should be treat as an outfield player. If that was a defender, leading with knee/elbow, dangerous play, would be off. I think Rosie/Acun have every right to ask ref powers that be for clarification for future. If one of ours do that next week, we all know what will be outcome! My twopenneth from Friday, like others I was puzzled by Twine sub, thought he was having a good game. At only 1 nil down, puzzled by taking your set piece specialist off. I don’t rate Lokilo, if Twine had to come off, would prefer Slater pushed up, Alfie Jones as def mid, bring Macca in defence? Jones played well as def mid before, he could do a job there. I was hoping at half time, with Norwich been on so many yellows, Rosie would have told us to get more edgy with them! Billy Sharp is never going to run about the pitch, win headers in the box with giants, moving forward we need to work a way to play to his strengths. He’s a poacher, balls need to be long and hard into box, could ricochet anywhere, give Sharp chance to get on ball in his danger area. Finally, passed my fitness test from Covid, first game back from Xmas Eve, good game, just not the result, good dominant possession, again, just lacking in the important area, impotent in final third.
His best position is as an attacking midfielder but that’s a role that we’re heavily overloaded with at the moment. However his versatility makes him a very important member of the squad.
no I agree he certainly has a place in the squad for me, I liked the look of him at full back to be honest.
A point off the play-offs, but also only three points above the team in 14th and with a goal difference only +3 better!
Just the whole of France, oh sorry I got sidetracked. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Apart from Germany, the Dutch had more SS volunteers during WW2 than any other country. The vast majority of the country despised the Germans and to some extent that feeling remains today. Never heard of him/her, and tread very carefully as any attempt at humour nowadays is to be scrutinized and further scrutinized. Oh, did you hear the one about the fallen Madonna with the big boobies? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I think what's quite remarkable is despite losing 4 of the last 5 games the team is only 1 point from the play-offs. A few shrewd signings and it's game on.
