No any employees need to earn the time , by performing. You don't just get a guaranteed 2.5 years, whilst making no impact.

I was speaking away from here last night. If he wasn't in charge , what would be different. If it was Dodds, would we be worse ? It think that's a key point me, the head coach should be making an impact , in set up, subs or approach. So far, all of these things have went backwards. Worse to watch, slower, less chances, less subs and points return isn't great.

They do mate I agree but if we sit back and look at this whole season we have never looked good or comfortable for a sustained period.

Handful of top performances, usually if we nick an early goal, but Jacky has falsified our records here, he has scored roughly a 3rd of our goals but the bulk of them have been point saving or match winning.

We are a lot further off the top sides than the table looks.

Yeah, I don't think we're as good this season as we were last season.

Aye **** that. For all my concerns and issues I don’t feel that way.

Remember we are recovering from a living hell and for all that emotions get us sometimes and we have a bit to say, we are building, we are respected again at least, and there’s positives galore that do get overlooked heat of the moment.

Frustrated, yes. Concerns, yes. Disconnected? Not one bit.

It’s our club. When we sing Sunderland till I die we have to mean it, and we do.

I am confident we are already a club coaches think twice about. Far too many coaches in the last 10-20 years or so. Top coaches, in work, arent coming here any time soon I am afraid.

    Great post mate

Im proud of our club and i think we have the right plan in place to be successful in the long term. Im the same as you im frustrated and concerned at the bit, i get we are in the playoff picture but i look at performances more than results n our performances haven't been good this season.

The good thing is we dont need to make major changes to get the spark back. A good transfer window changes lots, get a couple ready made players then things will look up

The fans turning was discussed in Sky many years ago, when we were still a PL side, it wasn’t a recent thing. Was Le Tissier era so several years ago.

Blessing and a curse really. When we are hitting 40k we can all admit there’s ’fair weathers’ in there. What’s stunning is that before we hit League One there were often 24-26 crowds in the championship season, and often less (anyone who goes will remember that season the gaff being ****ing deserted at times)

League One in a mad twist seemed to add 10k to the ‘hardcore’ which whilst it is an immense credit to the fans and region, as suggests many got behind and helped ‘save’ the club, it means we have a lot more dissenting voices too which is where a lot of the over the top drama comes from.

We could change the whole outlook with 2 players mate, if we nailed them.

Moore for me is a great link and he would give us massive options. The CDM is really ****ing difficult when you are outside the PL.

That is definitely a way to get some feel good factor back amongst the fan base definitely.

We need it to come through by January end.

That seems unfair. He's not an impact, personality manager so he needs time to get his ideas across. I didn't think last night was as bad as everyone is making out. We missed some big chances and some of our passing and rotations were okay. I think some of the negativity is hysterical if I'm.being honest

You know I don’t mean they get 21/2 years without question but not getting a chance from day one is pathetic.

Let’s be real here. You hated him before he’d walked through the door because of what other people said and you are among an embarrassingly large number who have campaigned to undermine your own clubs manager from first kick. He may not be the the right person but the super fans have undermined him. People are gasping to be proved right but saying ‘I hope I’m proven wrong’ so they don’t look like the reverse fans they are. Last night we were defensively poor so let’s judge that performance. We scored enough to win the game.

    Just what performance?

Ipswich hadn't won in 5. Had multiple injuries and had players in all sorts of positions.

The were still better than us on the eye and by all data metrics.

That's what alot of fans are not happy with. Since he come we look worse, play worse and stats show we are worse.

If you make an unpopular appointment and the performances and data show we are worst across the board, then people are going to be annoyed. I think Speakman has shot himself in the foot with the Beale appointment.

Mate I fully agree. I’ve been getting hammered for saying it on RTG. Someone implying yesterday that his dad’s ashes were tarnished by a sign in a bar. It’s self absorbed hysteria. I worry about how we defended and our substitutions because I want us to beat Hull. I’m happy to walk a few hundred metres for a different seat, take signs up and down, wait until the end of a transfer window, give players and coaches time, support my team. I would suggest the ones disconnecting fans are the self absorbed attention seeking fannies. Send them for a week volunteering for the Red Cross in Gaza and see if they are thinking about Howay signs.
