Do we know any of them are good enough. The coaches are showing no consistency at all. No patterns of play can develop due to the changes. Rusyn should be playing every game at least. We chased him for 6 months and paid good money. He is a good age.

Dropping him yday to play Jobe striker is simply abysmal management from Beale.

I would have played Adil and Rusyn From the start. I’d have been wrong on one. I think it’s ridiculous Jobe stayed on so long but I’m not convinced either would make a massive difference so I’m not sure he has a huge choice. We’re hardly deciding between the championship equivalents of Haaland and Alvarez. If I look at our bench I don’t see huge improvement. Seelt for 09, fairly similar. I find it curious that people seem to be ranting about the wrong things. Our defensive shape and clarity of role seemed to be our big issue and a failure to make the right system tweaks in game. Not sure he has a big choice over players. It’s fantasy to say an ineffectual striker over Jobe would win it but agree Jobe has preferential treatment.

Some on here thought it was a decent point FFS. It was a ****e result, simple as that. Stoke went there and dominated yesterday…

Leeds game aside, we seem to be sticking religiously to the 4231 or slight variations - Preston with Pritchard on the right for example.

There was a spell in one away game (cant remember who against )where we hit some stunning long diagonal balls for the first 20 minutes and caused the other team issues, we haven't done it since.

    Something isn't adding up

but we will never know if some of these players are good enough because nothing changes, the shape or system stays the same consistently and your never gonna get a tune out of a player that gets a couple mins here and there and then gets slagged off and dropped for missing a chance etc. it’s the same **** Mowbray was doing and he got the sack for it.

Replying to myself (is that a first admins and if it is can I have a complimentary 100 points in GP's Predictor thingy please). I was p*ssed & p*ssed off last night with Wishy, still am, but he is probably frustrated with his lack of game time and I would think angry at himself. Hopefully he learns.

i didn’t think there was much in the tackle that they scored from personally just him being eager to win the ball back. And the defender played him. The defence were more to blame for the free header from a bloke about the same height as pritch imo.

What I don't understand is this constant dissection of "the model" every time we lose a game. We must have the most reactionary fanbase in the country. People need to calm down - teams will lose games, it happens. We don't have to question the set up of the entire club because one player missed an open goal

I would be going for a back 3 n playing with either 2xno10s or going 2 upfront

I know its not popular but i would be playing clarke as lwb n have hume as rwb. Rusyn would then play as a forward but id have him playing more to the left which is his strongest position. Pritchard as a false 9 n Ba probably RCF. It might seem defensive minded having a false 9 but i would effectively be giving pritchard a free role, n keeping Ba (or Mayenda) and Rusyn high up the pitch that way we have 2 out balls. They would be able to use their pace better from a wider position than being against 2 big CBs.

    So my team:
    Patto
    Seelt Ballard o9
    Hume neil ekwah clarke
    Ba pritchard rusyn

I think all options are substandard and it’s on the recruitment team. The strange thing is Beale has made an effort to try to sort the striker position. That seemed an unusual step. Jobe the undroppable.

The rigidity of the model has been questioned for years. We need experience on the pitch to guide these young lads, pull them about and wake them up when necessary.

We'd get destroyed down our left side without any defensive cover

I like the model of signing young players, its the only way we will have success imo. I just think we need more of the youngster's to be championship ready thats all

we've only been working to this model for about 18 months, so I dispute this

If not be against that defensively but i think we need a goal scorer first. Without Clarke goals we have no goals

Clarke has played that role before n done well, including the defensive work so we wouldnt get destroyed (obviously there would be certain teams where it wouldnt work). Plus with hume as rwb n o9 lcb you could easily slide it into a 442 formation when we lose possession n still keep 2 high up the pitch

Fact is the recruitment for the last 2 windows (and half of this one so far) had been ****. Then throw a catastrophic managerial appointment on top and this is where we are. Disjointed and unbalanced on the pitch and no real leadership among the football staff.
