Oh, I agree. There is definitely a place for the use of data. It's just that they aren't used in isolation and people shouldn't try and use them to prove things without placing them in context.

Everything should have context, after a defeat isn't probably isn't the place for context though

Totally, only need 1 or 2 of them per window (always harder in January) to compliment the development of these raw talents

He was an absolute tit before he got appointed, and he still is now he has been appointed. Still can’t believe we brought him in. Self-inflicted implosion.

I know little of Scottish football and I acknowledge your point. I have spoken to a QPR supporter, whose opinion I value, and he was singing Beales praise's, which is unusual for him. This is football, all about opinions, well at least for supporters.
I'm in the same boat as you in so far as I want to be positive but I am awaiting further games, and potential transfers, before making a judgement. It may take longer than we both want but Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say. Unfortunately Beale now needs a good result against Hull to ease the pressure that is building. I'd settle for a 1.0 win now with signs of improvement in the team, of course if we go on to get another couple of goals even better :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Yeah I would be too, I hope he didn't watch Rusyn on his lonesome upfront against Newcastle and think it was evidence he's not up to it.

Still though, a manager not picking a player I rate and making subs I don't agree with is pretty standard stuff. The main thing is did we play well and I thought we were alright today. Adil does better in two moments and someone stops the smallest man on the pitch getting a free header and we get a decent result.

Fair points. It does seem a little, err how shall I put this, clunky.
Oh for silly smooth sexy football, we do get it occassionally just doesn't last.
Sure my wife says something similar about me :emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0140-rofl:

I’m curious about Rusyn. Genuine question- do people think he will score enough goals to get us up ? People seem to see that, I don’t. Love his attitude, he’s not ****, but he’s not our 9 to me. People maybe see more promise than I do.

Yeah I do. I think there’s a player in there and we create chances. He needs to start week in week out though it’s no good rotating every match. Carlton Morris scored the goals to get Luton promoted last season and he’s pap.

I've kept of this place because of the knee.jerk reactions of people and the negativity towards Beale and the owners. Prehab is the absolute worst and has made his mind up about him already. How the **** can you make your mind up about someone after 5 games? It truly baffles me. The performances are much the same as they've been all season. Toothless. I've absolutely no idea how anyone could make the difference that prehab and others expect in such a short space of time. If one of the 'names' we'd be linked with had a similar start as we'd be shrugging our shoulders and saying and giving the guy a chance. We missed an absolute sitter today at 1 each and then gift them a goal. Inexperienced side doing what they do.

I am one person who has said I don't think he is up to it. Many others have said the same. But again, you name me. Not the first and won't be the last I am sure.

He's not a back to goal CF but if we play to his strengths I think he can do a job. I'm not sure today was the kind of game in which he'd be most effective though.

I’d be overjoyed with Morris at this point

It's the way you express it. It's incredibly one sided. You are worse than anyone else. Quick to attack the club.

Just quick to post on match days mate. ..praise the club lots. And individual performances. When there is merit it's there. When it isn't it's not. Say it as I see it.

Because TM had hit a brick wall and ran out of ideas we were in relegation form so it was time for the head coach to go, if the club replace him with the wrong head coach doesn't mean it was wrong to replace TM it means they replaced him with the wrong coach not sure what's so hard to understand

Not the slightest change in tactics, personnel or attitude.

That's how you can make your mind up after five games.

When Allardyce came in we were rubbish for several months. You could see the turnaround coming though, slowly but surely. There's nothing with Beale.

    The gamble has failed.

OK, maybe I defend the club too much. Just like to see best in people. It's early days for Beale. Was I happy he was appointed? Not massively. Has he impressed me so far? Not particularly. But I think it's too early to judge. The whole point of this model is that it's seamless and we aren't going to see the highs and lows of previous managerial changes. We are much the same as we've been all.season. Nice and tidy, naive at times with very little in attack. Look at our bench today? Very little that can really change it so his hands are tied in some respects

I guess that’s my point. He’s not the player we need. I’m sure he will do well but it feels like we’re well stocked with clever unproductive players good playing off a main striker but no striker. Even Pritch to an extent, he’s more of a threat. We need chances created , goalward runs or goals. I’m saying that because people implying a run of games will sort out goals. I don’t buy it. Maybe Burstow is closest to that role but is struggling. It’s on recruitment this to me. I think it’s almost criminal we make managers look poor. I look at Stewart in league one and I see a championship equivalent gaping gap.
