We are not far away from being a good team and thats the most frustrating thing. Bone headed decisions from coaches and players are costing us so much. Need some maturity desperately.

I have no idea, but I will never judge a manager/head coach after 5 games (especially when he's won 2 of them).

Fair enough. From what I have seen thus far I believe he will be a failure here. Hope I am wrong.

I’m torn at the moment to be honest on one hand I want to be positive and we need to give people time to adjust and implement new thinking. However having watched rangers a bit I have a nagging doubt that what Beale wants to implement is wrong the slow predictable play is familiar. I think we will know soon enough

Look I think something has changed tonight at the back and it’s probably on him and it worries me but it’s one game and it might be ‘change’. It’s fair to see what comes next and judge. Prehab may be right on this but he isn’t objective and he responds emotionally. One of many who decided then look for the evidence. Let’s see if Beale improves and let’s see if Beale with better players improves. Calling for the sack is nonsense. Some of those ‘stats’ (I hate them) include a game against a champions league side. Tonight was worrying though.

It's funny having been there. Adil scores we are 2 1 up and it looks a decent performance. We then commit hari kari with the free kick and defending.

I am concerned that no one can hold the ball up front. We therefore concede possession. Just on a couple of occasions we moved the ball a bit quicker and look so much more of a threat but then we revert to the slow ponderous approach.

Disappointed it almost took the crowd to get Beale to make the change. However the two he took off did not necessarily warrant the change. Jobe should have been off earlier

I am disappointed and frustrated in equal measures.

Super support as normal. God it can be **** being a Sunderland supporter.

Finally thanks to @Smug in Boots for helping get the tickets.

Taken a bit of time after the game to think about the match n where we are at the minute

    Positives:
We are joint on points with coventry in 6th place. We are in the running for the playoffs n we have a team that is still able to grind out results
Thought Ba looked like the player a lot of us believe he can be - just need to see it consistently.
Alese was better 2nd half against burns, so much so that burns got subbed off
We have a lot of exciting talent in our ranks that with the right development will make us a very very good team in the future - the model is set up for us having a bright future
The 1st half performance was decent, we moved the ball better between lines n looked organised for the most part

    Negatives
Once again in game tactics were shocking, this was a massive issue under TM n is still n issue. We were crying out for rusyn to come on around the hr mark to stretch the game but no positive changes were made.
The constant use of Jobe is now pi$$ing me off. I like the lad n think hes got a great future ahead of him but he gets kept on far too long far too often now.
Our football last season was such a joy to watch (we probably set such a high bar with it that it was always likely to drop) n this season its been so poor. We move the ball far too slowly n we dont get players into the box, this was an issue under TM n continues to be an issue.
We are so predictable, pretty much can call the starting line up before every game n can call which changes will be made.
Recruitment of young prospects is the best ive ever seen at the club but we need to balance that with immediate impact players. The last 2 windows we havent signed any ready made championship player imo(possibly only jobe). I want us to keep signing young players but should be getting 1 or 2 like ballard clarke who havr 1st team experience in england so they have a better chance of hitting the ground running
Is beale the right man? Some have already made up their minds, i have my concerns which ive mentioned previously n i suppose only time will tell but the way we played (slow n not getting folk in the box) was exactly how his rangers team played. He also struggled to change games, in game, with tactical tweaks n subs when he was there. I really hope im wrong ahout him n ill honestly be the 1st to admit it if i am

The final negative is the size of this post lol hats off to anyone who reads this

Doesn’t mean I like them and doesn’t mean they should be getting quoted by pissed amateurs. Our stats are better if you remove the mags game, How do I know? I watched the ****ing game and we were ****. Maybe we should sack them cos our XG’s gone to 0.89. The fact I see is people are slagging off the Speakman talk data lot then using Speakman talk data to prove they're right. We lost. Let’s see if we win next week. And I hope it’s not too cold.

I very much doubt that in any aspect in which the club uses data/stats that they are used in isolation though. Context is important and other means of assessment will be used. No matter what the stats say, it remains that tonight's game was close and it was narrow defeat.

Aye you’re right. It’s a Clarke or Amad type signing we need. Done it at an equivalent standard. Step ups yes, but as well as not instead of ready to impact.

However the look at it, stats and data are very important to how most clubs look at things.

I agree I hope none of our data analysts are pissed and I don't care for the xg stats, but they are a relevant metric to some

I think it’s obvious what I think. You’ve decided before he kicks a ball you don’t like him. You do want to be proven right as a person it’s obvious, but I know you would be buzzing if we won and played well as we all would. It’s **** being a football fan.
