Perhaps he isn’t actually given the space but has that bit of extra talent to find/make the space which is why he is, IMO, the best player in the Premier League at the moment.

On the other hand if the opposition are so good that they force you back then if that wasn’t your intent then it’s not ‘parking the bus’. I agree, it is a reality check. With still a number of key players out such as Willock, Joelinton, Gordon (on as a potentially effective sub) and Pope, City still needed an injury time goal to beat us. Eg glass half full.
If it's an art then Newcastle are dreadful at it. Game after game conceding late goals. If you're not capable of shutting up shop that's a coaching issue.
Can't understand how people can't see that If people think we should defend in the opposition half, teams like City Liverpool Arsenal etc would have a field day We were 2 mins away from a fantastic point against the worlds best club team FFS
