It's mad how seasons change. Its went from people arguing on forums saying "we don't need a striker", to "we want a striker" from the crowd. Jokes aside, Loose Stewart and Amad and I'm amazed we're still in the same positions as last season.... lose Clarke this season, we could genuinely be in bother. That's the bigger picture and not me pissing the bed or overeating..Clarke has had to fill in for 2 players this season.

We're stuck with him. He needs time to implement his methods. How many actual days on the training pitch has he had?
I agree he's not inspiring, but I don't need my Head coach to be anything other than capable of winning games.

 

Mowbray had the squad higher than the quality in it. I think that is entirely reasonable personally. Summer took us backwards, in hindsight. Some of the players brought in look way off the level needed, sadly. Maybe in a year or two, but Mowbray wasnt given a year or two. There is a clear imbalance between the expectation placed on a coach to finish in a certain league position, and the quality of players the club are able to attract, and the money they are able to spend. If a coach gets this squad, and last years, into the top 6 then that is outstanding on their part. I keep saying this, but stand out coaches arent coming here, we have a poor reputation. Twice now it has been amateur hour on appointing a head coach. I think we have taken the first team backwards in the last 6 months and you have to at least ask the non coaching staff why that is the case.

 

None of them can get a start man.

Rusyn looks good and needs games. Pembele will be quality when fit. Seelt, again injured early looked good and dropped. Jobe has done well in stages.

 

The way he speaks is important actually. The connect with the fans is massive. It's corporate waffle speak from a cockney so far and it's not going down well.

 

Again. It needs time. Not a few days on the training ground. It might be short term pain for long term gains.
