I stand by what I said when I first saw it, that was fkn horrendous, how the fkn ref can't see a red for that I'll never know, let alone giving a free kick against Connolly, totally bottled it as it was early in the game, then we have the elbow on Coyle, the raking over the top of the ball on Connolly to do his foot by Duff. It's fkn awful, I presume there are chances to report refs for sub standard but 2 fkn weeks we've been done by crap ones. The club should be bringing this to the powers that be and making formal complaints

Very very similar to Schumacher (W. Germany) on Battiston (France) World-Cup semi final in Spain 1982. Schumacher also walked away from it. Don't think the ref even talked to him.

No one seems to talk about the fact he’s leading with his knee and elbow

Not that it would be an excuse in their area / protecting the keeper in his box, the fact he was well out of the box and as has been already said if it was any other outfield player... Shocking lack of decision and authority on the game from early on

Or the fact that he’s outside his area and therefore is bound by the same rules as the outfield players, so the leading with the knee and elbow should be considered as reckless, as well as dangerous.

I'm sure I've posted this on here before, but it's worth repeating as it always makes me laugh.

In 2002 the French had a vote on who was the most unpopular person of all time.

    Schumacher won...

... Beating a certain A. Hitler into second place.

I loved it in the 1980s when Poland was still part of the Soviet bloc and they announced they were having a vote for who to erect a statue of in Warsaw. The overwhelming winner was Felix Dzerzhinsky , born to Polish nobles who was a leading proponent of the Russian revolution. The reasoning was that as the founder of the Cheka, which led to the NKVD under Stalin and then the KGB he was responsible for the death of more Russians than anyone else. He may be one of only 12 interred in the Kremlin walls but no statue of him was erected in Warsaw.<laugh>

There could have been 3 red cards. Gunn, the left back and some people missed the bad foul on Carvahlo from Nunez when he about chopped his left off from the thigh.

Michael or Mick Schumacher. The best Hitler (I know it's a fairly low base) was Vic Hitler the narcoleptic comedian, from Hill Street Blues, a man before his time. :emoticon-0143-smirk

Reminds me of the time I was in Amsterdam and I paid a visit to the Dutch Resistance Museum.

It didn't go down very well when I suggested to the girl on the front desk that they should really rename it the Dutch Lack Of Resistance Museum.

I find these sort of jibes about the Dutch/French resistance being useless when the Germans Blitzkrieged their countries a bit poor taste. Ironically, Denmark was occupied and surrendered within a few hours but I’ve never heard any jokes about them being ‘surrender monkeys’ to the extent the French and Dutch get.

Surely by your own logic we should go for the win in the FA Cup to break the habit..?

I guess it’s Sellars-Fleming starting up front at Birmingham. Big chance for the lad - you’d be a fool to miss it.

The Verzetsmuseum is presented in an interesting way. The exhibits are arranged chronologically but you are challenged at various points to consider whether you would have colluded, adapted or resisted; with the potential consequences of each choice being revealed. You're then left to form your own opinion.

You should go - I'm sure you'd enjoy it.
