He's probably lucky he got the Sunderland game but he's not going to be replaced especially when any incoming manager knows they won't have any money. This season is panning out exactly as I expected and it'll be another year or two before things kick on again.
Because we don’t play a system with a number 10. Hope that answers your thick ****ing question We also don’t pay £250k a week wages
Until Longstaff isn't out there this will continue. Things will kick on when the dross isn't still out there.
We lost in the last minute again... Howe is his own worst enemy. Isak didn't touch the ball for the last 15-20 mins as he was knackered. What's the point in keeping him on.. Make a sub, even if it's for a defender or midfielder. We are losing in the last minute as Howe doesn't react. Its also plan to see, there is bugger all need to keep most of the bench at the club after this season. If Howe wont play them in the biggest injury crisis to hit the club then he wont play them at all! Anyway, the season is a write off for me. We need to aim for 6-10th place and hope we can replace some the dead weight with actual players in the summer!
Tielemans who has played in a whole 10 games this season and Maddison who basically said he wanted to be at Spurs not Newcastle - those two players ...?
Aye both on double our top earner at the time n all. And let’s not forget Tielemans downing tools for Leicester.
Just feel like this season has been the perfect storm of everything going wrong at the same time.. The summer window was poor. We've been mad unlucky with injuries, and had some **** decisions (PSG handball) Howe i feel hasn't been great with in game decisions. It's all gone a bit Pete Tong so far, but we still have the FA Cup.
Honestly he's pony.. unfortunately they will sell Guimareas and Longstaff will still be out there for years I fear. He's managed to become a player that is never the issue , but he's really just a poor player at this level.
He needs too much time to control the ball, get his head up and assess his options, you don't get that time in the PL. Obviously, he isn't crap, but he isn't good enough for a team trying to be towards the top of the PL.
The Tonali thing and Willock being knackered has meant he has had to be first choice for most of the season, otherwise he would have started to be phased out.
Yes I suppose so and let's hope he's phased out sooner rather than later. I feel sorry for him at times because you can tell even he knows he's not good enough and he even says it himself. It's a bewildering situation and he is a lovely lad but he's just not got it.... people take the piss about McTominay links, but he's a far superior player.
Fulham to eliminate us. Villa to batter us (kind of expected tbf) And somehow we can't win against Luton at home and Forest again. Then I'll join the full bedwetting brigade.
