That football transfer nonsense from earlier reckons Arsenal could nip in and buy Isak on the cheap , their reckoning Newcastle need to sell ffs they can't afford Toney so how the **** do they think they could afford Isak.
Can anyone estimate when Chelsea will see FFP catch up with them? Apparently Poch is going to spend again this month..
We’re buying nobody, and seemingly going ****ing nowhere. This is no different a season to the ****ing **** Ashley served up.
I agree other than beating Man Utd twice, Man City, PSG, the Mackems, Arsenal, Villa etc so actually not a mike Ashley season
Hmm, three of those games were in competitions we’ve tamely exited. Sunderland is a badge of honour now?! And remind me where Villa, Man U and Arsenal are in relation to us in the table?
When we’d played 10 games in 30 days with 10 fit players (Gordon’s been carrying an injury for about 6 weeks)
And there you are relying on facts in a discussion. Is that really allowed in place of wild, half true generalizations?
10th. Games in hand could see us 12th. Out of Europe and Carabao. Lost 7 of last 10. All after spending £375m in two years. All also facts. But I’m guessing we can excuse those?
All about context and perspective. Yes we are tenth. Not the end of the season and plenty games yet to play. Yes out of Europe. Unlucky and should have been in the Europa League/Cup but for a dodgy decision in Paris. Plus group of Death. Plus not been in for 10 years previous. Yes out of Carabou Cup at quarter final stage. Again unlucky. Last minute mistake from Tripps. Yes on a bad run. Look at make up of squad and number of players injured and number of games in December. Statistically we have had most lost players days injured than any other team in PL. Spending £375M. I've not checked figure but quite happy to accept it. Firstly, it's about starting point. We started at a very low level due to Ashley's scrimping and had to make up ground on others. Secondly. We have still spent less than 4 and 5 others in the last 2 seasons. All facts and it's all about context and perspective.
Carabao, outplayed for 80 minutes vs Chelsea. A little like today. The CL, we went out because we were **** at home against a bang average Milan. That’s also valid context.
So once we start playing 4-2-3-1 which is the dullest ****ing tactic known to man (Give me Keegan 4-4-2 to shake things up), and it goes ****ing tits up because we don't have any wingers who can cross a ball, or a number 10 who can convert from outside the box or play through balls, or a single defensive holding midfielder. Will everybody stop pretending they know what they're talking about and let the professional (Howe) get on with their job? Likewise, all these geniuses that can't read a set of accounts properly, watch an 8 minute video misquoting a whopping 8 seconds of it as gospel (All football clubs trade players) allow the CEO to do his job? And perhaps let the Technical Director who is in charge of facilities, recruitment, scouting, medical, analysis, loans, academy and development squads (not just recruitment) get on and do his job. And perhaps put some respect on the the poor ****ing paper weight who bangs goals in for fun.
Or, and here’s an idea, we continue to contribute opinions and debate on an open football forum PS. I’ve always been an Isak fan. Chaos will post screenshots if required.
Post wasn't specifically directed at you Roly (Had to check I never replied to one of your posts for a second there. I was meaning in general. Seeing an awful lot of negativity surrounding tactics, recruitment, injuries, accounts, training, squad selection etc. Seems to be an awful lot of critics who make lots of complaints and raise lots of questions without delving deeper and perhaps offering realistic solutions. A lot of it strikes me as impatience and spoilt bastard's syndrome.
