Don’t want to start conspiracy theories but a Birmingham fan I know said he left because his dad was demanding he starts games so that he could have X number of starts before he turns 20 etc and they refused. He suggested we must have agreed to it. Wrote it off at the time but evidence is pointing to it being right.

Unbelievable, starting to think Rangers fans were not far off about Beale with this team selection, just hope the ref is as kind to us as was Mr English to Coventry earlier in the day'.

loved that show as a kid and watching it with my two young kids with a cheeky Chinese fills me with happiness. Watching us plod slowly and concede on the counter doesn’t.

 

Imagine having a manager that mixes formations and lineups depending on the opposition instead of the same tactics week in week out, no strikers starting and players out of position.

I thought we might see this team tbh. Didnt want to suggest anything because of the no striker thing... To me it makes some sense. We need strengthening down the right against the width they have with Davis. Pritchard is in such good form he has to play. I thought Jobe, despite form may still play because of a desire to dominate possession. I think Beale will see that as key today. All of these players can hold the ball. Looks to me a side specifically to play through Ipswich. No gripes from me.

wouldn't be surprised .he had one in his birmingham contract and if it didn't hit a certain amount of minutes the would be a release clause get triggered

 

That's massively pissed me off, I seriously don't understand dropping Rusyn!

I WAS looking forward to this but I can see me turning it off if we don't start well and go a goal down. Michael Beale is making me weary already and he's not even a month in!

Look forward to the game all wk then just totally deflated soon as I see the team sheet man it’s pissing me off it’s been going on for months now.


Pressure is on them tho they are down to 3rd with Leeds breathing down there neck.

 

What are we trying to do. Jobe obviously needs time off, or a pure burn out. Then drop the striker that looks a menace the last couple of games. Sorry, but something is obviously going on behind the scenes. I was ok with Beale appointment initially, but tactics haven't changed, and no striker. If we lose, which I expected before this team announcement, then Beale has surely going to have to explain this philosophy that we have. Why persist with Jobe we can all see he needs a rest. Expecting a definite defeat now.

 

Has to start today he’s the only winger we have with any defensive capability and he’s fast enough to keep up with Davis. Not sure on some of the others mind Rusyn should be starting as you’ve mentioned these concede goals so why you’d leave the striker out again after getting his goal is beyond me. Jobe needs a rest too.
