We've had some poor ones, nobody can deny he was extremely poor, but as I said, the ref didn't miss the chances, nor did he make us concede 2. We are over half way through the season now and the same things that Rosie said we needed to get better at both last season and this are still happening and we could arguably say we have started going backwards In regards of how many we concede.... I think we need less talking from him and more action. It's his job to "put his finger in it" and if he can't, then we need someone who can and then sort it. I think we should be definitely be giving him this season to sort it, but what if things don't change between now and the end of the season?
I wouldn't love to see anyone get attacked like tha Oh yes, sorry. It's Rosenior's fault that we don't put the chances away.
I think both exist. The officiating last 2 league games has heavily affected the game and we have been respectively poor defensively. You just hope that Rosenior is deflecting it in the media but telling the hard truths during the week
I thought with Sharp absolutely knackered and us still playing highballs into the penalty area maybe with 15 minutes to go we could have mixed it up by putting Macca on upfront to make it more of a contest for their big defenders.
For those who want a in depth look at at the keeper full back role this is an great explanation. https://theathletic.com/5198524/2024/01/13/how-football-works-keeper-back/ Clearing cookies will allow you to look at it if the link does not work first time. Interesting chart in their that shows the championship with having the most instances of playing out from the back. So much for our unique style of playing (not that I think that its wrong far from it beats the hoof up field anytime)
The fault for not finding a solution to a constant recurring problem ( if he doesn't ) is 100% his or any gaffer fault
Rosenior is naive at best, ****ing hopeless at worst, Norwich played a strict 442, and generally snuffed us out of the game, time after time heading crosses away, we played 2 full backs 40 yards apart from each other with no option but to pass it back when pressed, we are conceding first every game and having to chase the game, 4 defeats in 5 would normally have the owner thinking about pulling the trigger. After Sunderland I can see us 11th or 12th, Acun wants us in the plays offs, it ain’t going to happen unless Rosenior changes the way we play, and he’s not capable. It’s a blow losing Jaden and Delap but losing like we are is becoming a habit.
I think it's pure nativity and inexperience. LR has, imo all the building blocks to be a great coach. But I think this jobs just to early in his career. I've said it before, I'd love him here in 5/6/7yrs time. Unfortunately for us though, we are his apprenticeship/learning curve.
You know when the games are finished and a capital letter L is the result, it’s doesn’t give the stats, no one gives a **** how much possession we have, we just want the W.
It’s not his fault when we miss them. But how many of those chances did you look at again thinking the player should’ve scored? We aren’t creating good chances, we create opportunities to shoot but more often than not it requires a perfect finish. We need to be creating more concrete sitters, but I don’t think we will, because we move the ball forward too slow that they have all their players behind the ball.
