I hope not. Not yet anyway. I know RR will disagree but I think Andi can still do a job for us. I don’t want to see him going to a championship rival club. He’s been a great servant to us.
Going by the tweets it’s virtually done. It will reduce TGH price to us. And to get RR ****ing throughout the weekend, this will mean freeing up a place for a replacement.
Fulham deal could be a help and not a hindrance to Bristol City rising star: View Bristol City are in the market for attacking reinforcements this month it would seem. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/f...a-hindrance-to-bristol-city-rising-star-view/
Best for all concerned completely lost his pace and mojo fraction of the player he was. Wells can go as well completely lost his mojo and hunger. Free up the wages for new talent.
Weimann, Wells, Cornick and Mehmeti can all go as far as I am concerned because I think the first two have gone past their before dates and the other two should never have been signed in the first place. Clear them out and clear the decks for players that can be consistent and focused on the task and we can't carry any that don't fit the bill.
Lee Johnson explains Bristol City omission https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/lee-johnson-explains-bristol-city-omission/
We had an over bloated squad and he wasn’t given a chance, we’ll never know if he was good enough at the time, getting rid was in the best interest of both the club and the player at the time.
The ‘hindsight’ crew on here will no doubt hammer the manager. Sammy was bought before a permanent deal for Palmer was agreed. Palmer’s loan form was excellent and signing him at the time was a no-brainer. His link up with Afobe was excellent. Sadly, things didn’t pan out as Afobe got injured and then the very sad issue with his child meant he left us. None of that could have been foreseen at the start of that season. Sammy clearly had potential, we just couldn’t give him the time to realise it, which has been a few years to be fair!
Supcon, I think hindsight belongs to you and yours. Dress it up all you want but the facts show : 1/ Palmer was another expensive mistake. 2/ SS wasn't given a chance because of a hugely over bloated squad. Ps - I have it that your messiah is on the short list for YTFC when they return to the Conference next season. Back where his talents, playing and managing, belong.
2 goals in 17 appearances for Boro last season isn’t exactly pulling up trees is it?. I’ll wait and see who, if anyone, we sign and judge them once I’ve seen them playing for us. £4.5m does seem rather a lot considering his record in the championship last season though.
Wells & Weimann are still amongst the highest-paid players at the club, even after their salaries were reduced in their new contracts. That would free up quite a bit of money for LM, but it would mean a very busy Jan, and I don't see that happening until the summer.
Told today Weimann not been at the HP centre the last few days. Think it has happened. Can he take Wells and Cornick with him. Manning had to meet a potential player over Xmas at the HP centre late evening 2/.5 hour drive from his home -ment to off beeen going out for meal with his wife and friends that evening. His wife was not a happy. Bunny.Deal not happened so far.
