Our new CEO is a Christian…… let’s hope he can perform miracles.

On one hand, can't get any worse and maybe a 26 year old will be more in touch with where football has gone than Hoos ever did.

On the other hand, have they just appointed a 26 year old because he's really cheap...?

But does he know any more about running a football club successfully than any of the others? And look who is appointing him.

Lots of pluses and lots of scepticism. But honestly, you’d look at the new CEO’s experience, even at 26, and say that’s not a bad appointment (though 26 does feel remarkably young I agree). In reply Yorks, the info is that he does know more having been around a number of clubs analysing their strengths - all things he could aspire to bring to our club (maybe not immediately ‘cos we don’t have a pot to piss in but without aspiration we can only go one way).
It’s a career defining point for him to take on this role, so I’d expect him to come to us with the energy and drive to do well. He already knows where we are from the work Retexo have already done, so no skeletons in the cupboards - he knows where we are structurally and financially as a club. He’ll know he will have to make the good and the tough decisions - and face the fans for them. I’m glad Hoos is also around as a fallback too, I know many don’t like him, but we need an element of easing through the transition. I hope the new CEO brings forward new energy and a strong/steady improvement over the next few years. God knows we all know we need it.
I think we’ll see a lot of changes in the Academy, player changes around our style and some focus on the club structure and fan experience. I’m gonna stay positive on this one - he’s got a **** load to do but he’s going to have some fresh ideas and some good contacts/resources.
Onwards and upwards (hopefully in the league too).

He'll be more used to crosses than our defence then.

This is who he used to work for:

They’ve got a flashy client list, but we aren’t on the one used for PR!

But to be fair he wasn’t there long because he was still doing his MSc at Imperial College in 2019/20. The consultancy he worked for is big on performance management. I’m sure he’ll have loads of tools and algorithms to help him do this, but it might be the first time he will be managing people considerably older and more experienced in their fields than him. I guarantee some will enjoy questioning his credibility.

    The view from the Independent

    https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/qpr-christian-noury-ceo-b2477805.html

Retexo is closely associated with the Friedkin Group, actually a couple of Uber rich American brothers who own AS Roma. Now if they could be attracted as investors and we get to be part of one of these networks of clubs with common ownership like City have got, things might get interesting.

It might be that Nourry has joined precisely because he knows new investors are on board.

Or (for balance) he’s a cheap kid with a great PowerPoint presentation.

After dealing with the likes of Real Madrid and Roma, how long will it take to to think he has made a big mistake coming to QPR.

Not too difficult to be fair. A few highlights for both and plenty of room for criticism too.
In a club that’s in a tailspin that’s not surprising really.

Seems he's been around the club for a while, so he must know what he's getting into.

It would be oh so QPR for this young whizz kid to turn out to be a complete fraud. I can just see the Netflix series now: 'Bushwhacked - How a smooth-talking waiter conned an entire football club'

Wherever we end up this season - I think all of us will be pleasantly surprised/shocked if we stay up. Another rebuild, of course it is - we love ‘em. I’d really expect to see a change now in the recruitment and in the academy (I realise it will be years before we see the benefits, but the sooner we start the sooner we reap any benefits). Part of the ‘boys club’ is broken up now. It looks like Marti and Xavier are here for the bigger picture so we can sort this mess out.
Hey, I’m going for the hope that gets you every time.

Jesus Christ, that's a long read!!
Clive is clearly someone who would buy an endless supply of snake oil from Hoos.
