Saw Arsenal play Yeovil a couple of years ago, when Yeovil were playing in Dorchester
Good team to watch, lots of quick passing and good control

But more importantly, Portsmouth have gone top of the league as they played their game in hand over cringetag United. Now we just need to stay there, though cringetag seem quite a decent side so any stumble will no doubt be exploited. Still, it won't matter. Even if we do win the league, we'll play in some stupid ridiculous play off game and lose, no doubt to Newcastle United just for the irony, and be the only league winner in the 6 divisions that make up the women's national League to not get promoted.

Also I notice your team played at st Mary's so no excuse not to have attended!

That's definitely not more important than Saints women's team for us.

I just knew we were gonna draw you guys. It felt like it was written in the stars

Should be interesting. Last time we played was in your promotion season, but since then we've gone semi-pro and we're in much better form this year than we were that year (I think we finished mid-table, can't remember exactly)

Not sure the media are aware there's women's football below the wsl.

Would be a good game to televise though. Derby, potential for a cupset, God's own county represented...

League is the top priority, an extended cup run would be a distraction. Hopefully we can get revenge next season if we get promoted. At least we gave a good account of ourselves

With the WSL and championship splitting from the FA, this season could be the last time promotion is open...

According to this more promotion/relegation not less …

The FA Board has this week recommended changes to promotion and relegation between Tiers 2 and 3 of the Women’s Football Pyramid. These changes are subject to ratification by FA Council.

In a significant shake-up of the existing structure which sees one team promoted and relegated, the FA will remove the requirement for the current end of season play-off to determine the side promoted to the Barclays Women's Championship, which takes place between the respective winners of the FA Women’s National League Northern and Southern Premier Divisions.

Instead, both FA Women’s National League Premier Division title winners will be rewarded for their success with promotion, with two clubs in turn being relegated from the Barclays Women's Championship.

The changes will come into effect from the 2023-24 season

About freaking time. I hate that playoff format.

Shame it'll be too late for us. And as Hampshire teams don't do playoffs, we all know how it's going to end.

Hopefully going part time will mean our team won't be dismantled like last time

    Big game this weekend
Top5 is really tight, only 2 points between them and a win v Sunderland puts us right in the mixer

Would there now be a case for the Super League and Championship to increase to 14 teams each with two up two down promotion/relegation?

Feels like it’s developed enough to advance now surely?
