My mate had a 1.6 Capri, bright red with a white stripe and a side pipe, jacked up rear end and a dented bonnet because so many jumped onto the bonnet to get to the other side of the car , knackers engine and slipping clutch and went like a tortoise with a broken leg , rear wheels off a Granada, it handled like a tea trolley
It met its end after jumping a hump back bridge and landing on its roof in a field in Tring

My memory of Starsky and Hutch, walking into the public bar of my local on Christmas day and at least half a dozen blokes wearing chunky cardigans with a belt , all brought from Watford Market <laugh>

Georgina Hale died recently, known to me as Jean Bird Budgies wife but appeared in a number of Ken Russell films and of course the breakfast scene in Mc Vicar

    RIP <rose>
A really familiar face on our screens - both TV and film - for decades. But I hadn't realised how devoted to the stage she was. Similar career to Helen Mirren - just much lower profile.
She starred with some big names so was very highly regarded in the industry clearly. And dragging herself up from what looks to have been a dreadful childhood.

I keep reminding my wife I'm still blonde and beautiful and she collapses on the floor! Is she telling me something? I'm only 83.
