True - is André a DM? I know nothing about him. Like some others, I still think Bajcetic is pencilled in if he can get fit and stay that way.
Just seen us linked to Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen... I'd take that; very good and extremely fast RB that would allow Trent to go and do is thing further up the pitch. (Didn't say how much)
Same problem I mentioned some days ago though, who drops out? Much as I don't like it, the hybrid role allows us the flexibility to overload the midfield when required. Bring in a dedicated RB and move Trent permanently into midfield and someone else has to go.
Simple. Endo out, trent in. Macca to lcm, Jones has to fight for the place. The hybrid **** kills shape and options. The benefits rarely if ever outweigh the draw backs.
this system is utterly flawed. we are playing in 2/3rds of the pitch against sides who sit deep and cannot ever create an overload on the right as there's simply not enough bodies so thst closes up all the gaps for an opponent. it's fine to step in against a nice high line and ping balls over the top at salah etc and look that hero then we are looking for fast ball. but the second a team goes low block seeing trent go further and further in field and start hitting stupid through balls or narrow field crosses is just ridiculous. we play in fornt of teams when we do this. you want genuine overloads being created and to get teams turned
But that brings me back round to what I said earlier: "That's why I asked where we're going to put him. Doesn't make much sense high-profile or big money players sitting on the bench waiting for someone to get injured, and we have enough for rotation otherwise. It's best for up-and-coming players to be the ones waiting in the wings - they don't cost as much and they don't expect to be on the team sheet all the time."
I have heard a rumour, don't ask me where from, that we may sign someone in January or we may not. You heard it here first!!!
Links emerging with Kevin Mantilla, 20 year old CB, Colombian who plays in Argentina. His current club president confirming that we have asked about him. Just for mito ..... he's 6'3".
Roberto Firmino: ‘I wasn’t upset Rodgers got sacked – he didn’t know how to use me’ During his legendary run at Liverpool, Roberto Firmino became known as the Jurgen Klopp player, which is a stark contrast to his time under Brendan Rodgers. Throughout his career as a manager, no player has made more appearances for Klopp’s sides than Firmino, who played 355 times over eight seasons. it's about the 4th or 5th one of these stories. they mist be doing some line of interviews for the website with bums who had **** careers after ignoring lfc etc. there was one only today about some guy crying after his offer fell through.
I remember him being linked, I actually wanted us to sign him. He was considered half decent at the time and we lacked a bit of grit in the side, I thought he'd offer a bit of versatility too. In hindsight, I'm obviously glad it fell through.
