Wolves close to points deduction. https://www.footballinsider247.com/...e-to-points-deduction-announcement-days-away/
very interesting. they all seem to have finally woken up. the unfairness of chelsea's antics might actually attract some critique from these fans finally. it'd be classic English Premier elavue unfairness thst 4 or 5 smaller clubs get ffp fined and points deductions and chavs get nothing
Wolves have been 'cheating' in the transfer market for a long time. I can't read the link posted above and I'm guessing it's nothing to do with dodgy transfers but if you've been taking unfair advantage, then eventually it will catch up with you. As you say though, it's tough on the smaller clubs. Maybe they're building up to the city punishment.....
city are golden. they started the second they were charged by uefa. they obstructed and delayed but at the same time started rapidly inflating revenue with fake streams and now proudly announce that they are the world's biggest revenue. if they are cheating it will be via payments in the uae to agents and players etc. eventually some agent will be put up for jailing and will cut a deal that reveals all. but they will never be charged in the UK.
I don't think an investigation into city could take this long (and rumoured to take possibly another year) and come back with no findings that required punishment.
we will see. I don't see it having the hearing on the outlined timescale, even though it is outrageously far away already. I think it will then get delayed and held up mid hearings and a decision is at least 5 years away then. in the end it will then go to all sorts of other courts even if a punishment is announced and honestly the basis of the data will be challenged as being illegally obtained and city will only be punished with a small fine for not cooperating. mean while their club thst has hardly any sport will continue to pretend its got billions in annual revenue with impunity as every deal they put in just needs to be increased by 10 or 20% on renewal
Never know with the run in. Sometimes the easy games can become much harder if they have something to play for. Fulham could be safe comfortable mid table on the beach West Ham could be in europe lesgue later stages / mid table safe. Or could be pushing for europe again and out the Europa. Spurs could be fighting for any type of europe. Villa coukd be fighting for anything at top half or totally fallen away Wolves likely to be mid table safe.
maybe so. as of now they look like those tricky ones that are not quite desperate clubs but not top 6 games. the villa one stands out as emry is the type to park a bus really well to just deny us even if he had nothing riding on it.
Oh, it could; they've got to carry out 115 separate investigations. If you say they did one a week its over 2yrs! (I realise they'll probably do multiple together but still require paperwork for each) Wouldn't surprised if nothing happened either
Some of the breaches are a repetition of the same thing like their breach of PL rule B16 (which they have breached about 9 times) that simply says they have to act in good faith. Rule B19 (breached about 6 times) says they have to respond promptly to requests for any information by the league. So those two rule breaks alone account for 15 of the 115 breaches, which means that each breach isn't as complicated an affair as people may think. We're not talking about 115 individual cases of fraud, for example.
they all have to be somehow reviewed and the evidence of lack of cooperation collated and presented. each one has to have requests for info and when. repeated requests, show deadline was passed etc etc. city will make up some crap about each one showing why they couldn't replay and that has to all be checked and see if their excuse is valid or not etc.
My point was that some of the breaches are tied to a larger infraction and are not infractions on their own so there aren't 115 'stand alone' breaches to investigate.
but each needs to be investigated. you didnt provide documents on x by y date. city reply x wasn't available or x wasn't relevant or x was private or whatever so contended that it should be given at the time and thst had to be discussed and ruled on etc etc so you had to give it by z and you didn't Well I still couldn't give x because and so on and so forth as city will repeat every line they had to make out its an unjustified request or accusation day 1 this is all about delay and obfuscation for city and they will make sure no charge will be unchallenged and its a dog fight for the prosecution to get to the bottom of any. as much as we'd like that not to be the case it'd already worked for them
If 15 of the breaches are that they didn't act in good faith and promptly then they are already proven really aren't they? We know this because the evidence of not handing stuff over in a timely fashion already exists.
I'm sure they all have an "excuse" thst will be greatly debated by the lawyers. think trump style but with better suits and more talent (I can't believe some of the clowns he's hired)
If - and it's a big IF - the PL are serious about this investigation, the last thing they want to do is trip up over a point of order and give the City lawyers something to chew on. Each charge has to be investigated thoroughly, so it will take a long time - especially as said lawyers will be filibustering their socks off hoping it will just fizzle out.
Norwich keeper does a Harald Schumacher and the free kick goes his way https://x.com/beerd_af/status/1745904706348622179?s=46
The investigation by the independent commission isn't like a court of law - using the findings of the Everton case as a guide. The commission look at the charges and have witnesses before them to give explanations about the various elements of the charges. City's lawyers won't be involved in the discussions the panel will have amongst themselves in coming to their conclusions regarding each charge. Another thing to note is that unlike with the UEFA investigation, city are barred from taking an appeal to the CAS. Any appeal is dealt with by an independent commission with the stipulation that none of the original panel can sit on the appeal panel.
Was a clear foul. I’m all for goalkeepers not being overprotected, but the Luton forward took a step towards the keeper shoved his back into him as he went to jump with no intention of playing the ball. Shocker how they didn’t give it
