Morning. A few hectic days moving, hopefully after a tip run later I can start to enjoy being “home”!
Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson says he has "best case a year" to live after being diagnosed with cancer. The 75-year-old Swede was the first foreign coach to manage England and led the side to the quarter-finals of the 2002 and 2006 World Cup and 2004 Euros. "I'm going to resist for as long as I can," Eriksson told Swedish Radio P1. "I have an illness that's serious. Best case a year, I have worst case a lot less. It's impossible to say exactly, so it's better to not think about it."
His exploits before the England job are incredible. He was easily one of the best coaches in Europe. England absolutely wrecked his career lol
Morning Luv. Nearly the weekend and the mighty Burnleh are playing tonight. Love night games, love Stella, hate forrenerrs.
Azeem Rafiq talking about being broken and empowering racists… This is the guy who was caught out with an anti-Semitic comment against another cricketer in 2011. He’s a proper cnut. Nobody knows what I’m talking about, or cares.
Everyone in the UK is a poor trod on minority and that gives them a right to step on whoever they like.
Think he’s just trying to make a few quid off some interviews. Bit of a weird one is one of our ex-players suing the club after he got racist abuse while out on loan. The coach he said failed to protect him while he, an adult, played football elsewhere has an MBE for his work for promoting ethnic minorities in coaching. Bit odd. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/qpr-amrit-bansal-mcnulty-racism-crawley-b1131737.html
