As has been pointed out he's a renowned test driver. Besides, the slower he is, the quicker hot prospects will look by comparison, and the more willing future hot prospects will be to consider HRT.

Wasn't he dropped by Sauber mid season, last year or year before?

be interested to hear how you have such detailed knowledge on the techical feedback of so many drivers cc , as for " senna A not being brilliant in this regard "
mika hakk - 2 x WDC who worked closely with senna does not agree with you -- ( the 5 min mark on the clip )

Yes I was a bit perplexed about the Ayrton Senna not having good technical feedback comment as well because to my knowledge he was very good technically. He used to give his engineers pages of notes of things to do to the car, and once he was testing a car and the driver who car he was using kept his setup because it was so good.

Martin Brundle was impressed with it:

    And also ex-Honda F1 boss.

senna was also acutely aware of what the engine was doing at all times as well mifune , i actually have it on an old VHS tape from 1993 -- france i believe it was ,that he picked up an engine malfuction that the mclaren engineers and there state of the art computers could not --

Good link, although I would not show it to Manny. That story about the engine is very impressive.

Lol Cosi, no cause for alarm...it's just that Bruno's been in formula one for too short a period (and HRT doesn't count for me)...

Ayrton wasn't that great at the technical side, he used to wait until Prost had set up his car then copy that.
