Don’t think he’ll play for us again, extended his deal to pay him through his rehab

Would be a shame if that was the case. Been a good player for us, especially once Johnson had left.

Might get a farewell appearance if he’s fit at the end of the season and play offs are secured/out of reach, which I think he’d deserve he’s been a good servant here

I think Dan Neil does his best bits as a DMF. Also, for me, it's probably the most important position on the pitch, alongside keeper and striker. I 100% trust DN as a defensive midfielder. Ultimately, could he be a more advanced, box to box type midfielder, yes, no doubt. Currently though, his shooting is well below par and I rate Ekwah much higher in that role.

One of our better signings in the L1 era.

hmm, not as if he is the type to run his socks off, most of his work is done with positioning rather than chasing...would not be unhappy to see him around a wee bit longer maybe to give advice to a couple of the younger lads.

Might be unpopular but I think he has got better in some peoples opinions since he has been injured. He was decent enough, but I didnt see him offering much in this division tbh. People sometime refer to him as being the player we need in front of our back 4 still, not for me I am afraid. I doubt many top 6 championship teams would put him in there. I know it sounds harsh, the lad did well and played a good role, I hope he is fit again soon and proves me wrong. I suspect though he will move on if fit in the summer, and he will go with my good wishes.

One third of the way through and it is quiet. Generally I mean, not just fot us. One or two good looking deals starting to land in the championship. Excellent by Hull. Looks to me like a few sides are prepared to push on second half, and most are those around us. Was always going to be a key window if we retained play off ambitions. Starting to feel it is even more so tbh.

I can see the sense in the Moore link. I am not absolutely certain he is what we should do, but I see him having an impact. I am a little doubtful it will happen. Feels to me like it might be too difficult to do if others listed are in for him. Sam Gallagher I like and I could actually see him a better fit tham Moore, but only if Clarke stays. I admit to being a tad worried we might not get the deal in this area of the pitch of again and it will cost us top 6. I want the lads to spring a big surprise with a nee forward, and ideally a buy. I have a few ideas but will leave it to Harvey and co. Haway lads, give us the next Roscoe, they are out there.

FAir enough. He's definitely not a 10. Feels like that season where Jack ross played Honeyman as a 10 when he'd always been a 7 or an 8

When Evans first came to the club we were struggling in midfield and then for a period after because Neil was leaving him exposed constantly. Didn’t take long for people to realise how important he was in there and unless he‘s way off the pace after the injury (or we sign someone else) I’d still put him straight back in when fit.

A third of the way through the window without any positive news. We’ll get some soon, hopefully. Feels like the club and supporters could definitely do with a lift.

Agreed, he can be effective going forward mainly thanks to his link up play but his best work is done sitting in front of the defence, breaking up play, putting tackles in and spreading the ball about with his range of passing.

Any one of the other lads in CM are more dangerous in attack but none defend anywhere near as well. He's a natural for it.
