Do you not come past a Park n Ride? I use Portway all the time now. £5 return no parking fees and drops off by KFC and picks up by the Robins. Used to park behind where the Ship and Castle was but got pissed off trying to get out all the time. Plus it’s cheaper on bus and no need to get traffic jams on portway.

You can have half a agree. Some keepers take the path of being a keeper because they could not be an outfield player, and some really do not. I think the numbers in male football in the latter group are increasing. Kids who could play outfield are choosing to play in goal, and are going in goal because of the increased scope of goal keeping - footballing keepers.

Locally Keynsham Towns keeper has a startling ability on the ball. He is a midfielder, or was but opts to play in goal.

Its a small world. Steve Phillips kept out of his school team (Norton) the Brother of one of my friends, and he had to endure being asked,"what are you doing about this Gashead then?". SP was known to be a fan of the blue before he became pro red.

I used to play 5-a-side with a German chap who always played in goal. He hated being outfield and only reluctantly did it if someone got injured and had to finish the game in goal.
He was an absolute cat in 5-a-side - leaping all over the place.
Sadly, he was pretty bang average when playing 11-a-side due to his stature - he was quite short and simply couldn’t get to the higher balls, whereas his lack of height actually HELPED him with the smaller, low goals in 5-a-side.

Players who are goalies by preference are a rare breed in my experience.

I would definitely disagree here. Its a rare breed that can do anything to a high level, or make a long term commitment to sport when they would prefer to do something else. Its my experience in coaching that those who don't really want to do it fall away. The keeper playing for long terms, and reaching higher levels do so because they have the aptitude for it.

Long shot but if anyone has a spare ticket for sale please PM me.
My wife and I are both members, but I found out today that both memberships are in MY name, which meant I could only buy one ticket. I was on the phone queue for 90 minutes and then cut off when it sold out.

If anyone finds they can’t make it then I’d be really grateful if you could bear me in mind.

Of course I’m aware there will be loads like me, so I’m not holding my breath - it’s a very long shot!!

UPDATE - Unbelievably someone on OTIB came forward so I’m sorted now!
    Game on!!!

Can only see a loss I’m afraid, I think we missed a chance up there and they’ll be ready for us this time. I hope I’m wrong

For the first time ever my son and I will be watching the game in tandem but he is Red Deer, Alberta and I am out here on the west coast one hour later than him. I am looking forward to the match but based on the weekend's performance I fear for the final score however I thought the same when we played Mourinho's Man Utd and look how well that finished. Whatever the result we should have had a couple of good paydays at least - come on lads show us what you are made of.

Logic says yes; however, their starting 11 and whole matchday squad is expected to much weaker than in the original game due to injuries and AFCON

That’s interesting McCrorie replacing knight, what’s the formation? , assume McCrorie will play DMF, but James and Williams also playing, and TGH, very odd.
