The trouble is, Freddie and the others who performed at times very well at L1 level, are real characters, likeable and they remind me of my amateur days of playing minor league footie. But when we watch the likes of the Arsenal and Lpool in that splendid FA Cup game, one realises how hopeless they will be at Prem level. They just about have a squad role where we are now, and I see Kyle Edwards is coming back, but we can be grateful to them for getting us up, but the sooner we get some big, pacey big hitters in the better. Yes, they should see off Maidstone, but it's the Cup and you never know!
We all love the F A Cup but theres a serious side to this, we won £105,000 for the 3rd round win and £120,000 if we win our 4th round tie thats £225,000 plus theres another £220,000 waiting in the 5th round, thats nearly a quarter of a million plus as much again waiting to be won, it may be not considered a huge amount in football circles but its cash over and above the expected income for the Club, and i think our American investors would be pleased enough to make more money available with the returns that are coming into the Club..
On reflection they are probably about right, how the hell can we afford to pay those sums?! I chose the wrong career!
That means 11 out of 14 (past and future) games have/will be on live TV Nice for the clubs coffers, but sh!t for the fans and TV subscribers
