Baz - you are pathetic and a disgrace to yourself and to football - you should never have been allowed to become an owner - you are not a fit and proper person to control a club
I must admit to being neither angry or surprized at another no show from him, just very sad. Either he has a massive stress problem (In which case he's in the wrong role) or, there are questions which he cannot answer. At any rate I see this as a potential problem for the survival of our game that a person can simply walk in and buy a football league club - and it then emerges that he is an ex bankrupt going under an assumed name, who apparently cannot account for his financial backing. Is there no effective vetting of potential owners in football - or how has this been allowed to happen ? Even if he eventually delivers on all his promises, I still want to know who we are owned by - or are we in the hands of the Mafia or something ?
Agree with you Cologne Does sound like stress i.e clinical depression to me. As you say, in which case he's in the wrong role. Sorry for him if so, but leaves us right in the s**t. If he is just dodging then he's a scumbag.
I will feign surprise! Gosh I did not see that occuring What a joke, they are baying for blood on the Wobbly website
Appears to be more shelf filler at Tesco than Executive... If he's not capable at least appoint somebody who is!!!!
He obviously has made a bad decision to buy the club because clearly he is out of his depth...........he doesn't appreciate what fans of a club can do if they turn against the chairman. This is bad!
The idiotic thing is all we want him to do is talk to us, we understand rome wasnt built in a day , we understand about trying to run a tight ship , but by shunning us ,doesnt he realise he is going to make life tougher for himself!
I've only seen pics of the demonstrations in the Centenary Book, but those of you who can remember him, who's worse Jim Bonser or Baz?
I don't know what it is, but I am becoming more and more convinced that he has got something to hide and is worried that if he opens his mouth he will give something away that he doesn't want to be known. I think that he may be insecure about being able to conduct an interview without at some point contradicting himself. However he should have taken the chance of creating a good impression by turning up at the fans forum, where I suspect that despite certain misgivings he would have been helped out by the others on the panel. To simply put off speaking to anyone is not acceptable.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_div_1/default.stm Even made the bbc!!! Come on Baz put everyones mind at rest and bloody well speak to us!
OFH I reckon his money is drug money or the like ,so much so he wants to keep quiet!y he owned strip joints , would have had chance to come into contact with shall we say unsavoury types! something is very very strange!
I'm beginning to think that too. He would have to be really pretty foolish not to realise the effect this has. It's almost so amateurish is has to be deliberate.
As I said above, I don't know what he is doing, and I don't think he does either. The shambles of the last two weeks when he keeps changing his mind gives the impression of someone completely lost. If he is coming into large sums of money by dubious means then sooner or later some official body will get on his case. Maybe we will have to wait and see if that happens, though goodness knows what the outcome of that would be.
It is probably not fair to comment on someones state of mind from a distance, and without knowing all the facts, but I am beginning to wonder if Bassini is in a stressed state of mind. I hope fans are not contributing to this by comments on various websites. Some frankness from him , or some investigative reporting from the WO would be welcome here , to help us all do "the right thing".
From what I read various people are trying to make contact with him to get an interview. It seems that at present he is not too happy to talk to anyone.
