If Clarke wanted to leave he would of pushed for it in last summer. Personally I don't think he will be going anywhere till the this summer if we don't get promoted

Are you saying I'm supporting him?

No one is sticking up for him as far as I can see and the post I've mine you quoted I'm definitely not! What I am doing is wondering what was different about his time here that he openly gave up after two matches! As you have said should have been sacked on the spot for saying we were in a relegation battle after two matches, all he was doing was getting his excuses in early. One of the biggest bluffs in football management is keeping the media blowing your trumpet. You can be sacked and will get job after, after job along as the media keep pushing your excuses!

Pointing out the club was in a **** place isn't defending that gutless ****er! Asking what made him give up straight away isn't defending him, we had plenty of managers during the time we were in a **** place and he is only one that gave up from pretty much first day and ironically he is the one they didn't pull the trigger on!

I think you did mate but I read a bit more after replying to you and it seems you have said you maybe read posts the wrong way!

I've added a bit more to my reply to you which should again reiterate what I think of the man!

But to clarify he is a gutless, spineless, weasel of a man that imo walked through the door and for whatever reason and I think it is what was going on behind the scenes etc... at the time thought **** this I can't keep these up! Gave up day 1 and admitted it in an interview after two matches by saying in relation battle after two matches who the **** is saying that so early on? A **** who has given up and is getting his excuses in early that's who! Then there is the signing of players that should have been retired or a white curtain put around them and put down like a horse that fell at the national! Uninspired and stank of someone who couldn't even be arsed to man manage his players so filled the dressing room with what he thought of as pals/spies but by all accounts even they thought he was a dour twat when he was here!

He is a ****ing ****, another one who I can't stand is Bruce not cause of his results here (in the grand scheme of things he was one of the better over that decade) but he used to irritate the **** out of me that he would say he was hounded out for his geordie roots the ****ing balloon headed ****ing pot bellied ****er! He would spout that and the media would go along with it, all to keep him on the merry go round!

I heard through a contact in Manchester that he was shocked and angry at the situation he was in and isn’t a fan of big Sam’s agent choices. No excuse for Gibson and Lescott and the exclusion of people like Gooch but Short was the ultimate cause of it.

He should already know that moving from a club where you play every week to a club where you're lucky to get on the bench every week is not good for his development.

His agent may be a different story. He might want to turn his rapidly appreciating asset into a depreciating one for money now rather then maximising his payoff when the move does come.

Sunderland waiting for Bournemouth decision on Kieffer Moore

    upload_2024-1-10_7-36-18.jpeg

    By Scott Wilson

SUNDERLAND have held preliminary talks over Kieffer Moore, but are one of a number of Championship clubs waiting for Bournemouth to make a decision over the Wales striker.

The Black Cats’ recruitment team, led by sporting director Kristjaan Speakman, are keen to sign another centre-forward this month.

There is an acceptance that an experienced alternative is needed to supplement the four forwards that were brought in during the summer, with Moore currently heading a list of targets that is also understood to include Blackburn Rovers forward Sam Gallagher.

Moore’s position has been discussed with the hierarchy at Bournemouth, with Cherries boss Andoni Iraola willing to allow the 31-year-old to leave the Vitality Stadium….

However, Sunderland will have to fight off competition from a host of Championship clubs in order to sign him, with Cardiff City, Ipswich Town and Norwich City all understood to have held discussions with Bournemouth officials.

Leeds United have also been linked with a possible move, with Moore and his representatives yet to decide on their preferred option.

Even then, any deal would be dependent on Bournemouth agreeing to the financial framework of a loan agreement, which could be problematic given Moore’s wages.

The striker is earning more than any player currently within the Sunderland squad, and Bournemouth would want to keep their own financial commitment to a minimum if they were to sanction the forward’s exit for the second half of the season.

A permanent transfer would appear to be off the table given that Bournemouth spent around £4m to sign Moore two years ago, and that the striker is contracted to the Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2025.

You probably don't know anymore to answer this but what situation was he shocked and angry with? Surely wasn't the state of the team cause we had justanaged to stay up, again! If it was stayed of things behind the scenes there was plenty of rumours going around and I'm sure with a couple hours digging with people inside football he would have found out more!

Then Allardyce's agent mates signing was he not a fan of the one's already at the club, well they were insturmental in keeping us up I'd suggest he looked closer to home while they were ****e under him, or the one that came in a few days after he started, again sure he could have but a stop to that?

No I can understand why he can say that and use it as an excuse.

i can not believe he would truely believe it though as that would be ignoring the fact it only started when the results went south!

It was the lack of a plan he was shocked at and the missing owner he was angry at.
He refused to work with the McKays something I support if I’m honest. They are poison and Sam is an criminal.,Unfortunately they had all the power and as we saw with Kone, balls were taken home. Not excusing his statement or some of his decisions but the inability to provide us with a budget for a striker in the January window was the final nail on the coffin. Koyes should have walked at that point then it would have been clear.

The dour faced ginger miserable bastard should have been sacked, more than once, relegation fight after 2 games, threatening to slap a female reporter, the bloke was a ****ing dick. It does also proves Short didnt give a **** at that stage, and then gifting us to those 2 ****ers

To date, isn’t Moyes the guy who has spent the most money in one transfer window as a Sunderland manager?

    **** him and his excuses.

Ultimately Short was the issue. Even with Sam and the McKays. They were effectively our chief scouts but they earned from it. When they went no plan. Shocking. Moyes should have walked early on tbh because it showed on his face. Possibly by trying to do the right thing he did the wrong thing. Of course Short put money in but he downed tools at a crucial point.

Signings were dreadful. Two were from the McKay list the rest were substandard former players. No money and no club plan though. It wasn’t all on him. Look what Harvey and do now. None of that. He spent too much on what he bought but we were the worst spenders in the league that season after a bumper tv deal. .
