He looked much better on the wing with Vinagre overlapping him, the one time they played that side together vs Leicester they were great together. I think he’s almost been stitched up in a way playing out there by and large with Coyle playing behind him in a similar fashion or Greaves who does play the full back role like a centre half playing full back. It leaves him with a lot to do and not much to work with.
Well the first question is what is a striker? but Delap is injured and Connolly is often injured, but then again they may be wingers.
I suspect that what Rosey really doesn’t like is publicly saying players aren’t good enough. To misquote a famous maxim - If you’re good enough you’re tall enough.
So he'll probably play 65% of the time if he's fit and firing. Which has historically in itself been a significant If.
Thought Adama was a lot closer than 12 yards - also didn't realize you meant Twine- I was thinking you were talking about Tufan
People keep bringing this up like he didn’t follow up with a goal in his next appearance. We waited half the season for Twine to do that.
I think once the balance of the team is right, Twine will be able to show his quality, to me it feels like he’s not able to focus on what’s he’s really good at because he’s compensating for what’s missing in the rest of the 11. Add in that we’re going through a rough patch at the moment which isn’t helping, I think he’ll come good.
That's an odd, abstract way of comparing their goal records to find a way of stacking it against Twine, given that Twine has twice as many goals, and 3 assists to Traore's 0.
I brought it up as it was a horrendous miss - but credit to him for bouncing back and scoring at Stoke. However, for me he is something of a luxury player and not someone who is going to take a game by the scuff of the neck and dominate the opposition midfield. In the pecking order I'd put him behind Carvalho, Tufan and Twine.
