Dragusin Watch You're Not Getting Dragusin Watch DM Watch Football BSider claim that we (and Everton, you know, the team who claim poverty whose owners are playing silly buggers over Dragusin...?) are stepping up our interest in Blackburn's Adam Wharton, likely for a buy-and-loan-back deal
There’s no sense in keeping someone long term that doesn’t fit the system just because they fill a quota spot. It doesn’t help Ange out nor the team as there’s a noticeable decline to our play when he plays. Skipp’s game time will only further reduce as time goes by too, that will then only lower his value from what we could potentially get in the summer if we keep him beyond that.
He has hardly played at all with most of the best XI so I don't think it is in any way proven that he doesn't fit the system. He is a solid player in my opinion. He might even be selected ahead of Bissouma who has been an absolute liability after the first few games.
Skipp like Winks and many before them know that any move will be a downgrade so of course they want to stay at Spurs for as long as possible.
Why do you think he’s hardly played? It’s not been because of bad luck, it’s because there are more players better suited to Ange’s way of playing. No one has said he’s a bad player, he’s just bad for the system. As I said, there is a visible decline in our forward play and passing when Skipp is on the pitch. He won’t be selected above Bissouma, though Bissouma is likely to lose his spot once Maddison returns as Sarr has been better and Bentancur starts above every midfielder when fit, which he is now.
According to Alasdair Gold, Napoli also have an interest in Eric Dier Now if somebody could track down the bunny boiling former agent of a certain Romanian CB and do this before he mouths off to Tutto Mercato or something and do this...
Ally Gold and James Olley both claiming we want to complete a deal for Dragusin by Friday’s deadline (for Utd) and all that remains is convincing Spence to head in other direction. Not sure why he’d need much convincing, he’ll have gone from playing in the Championship to Serie A and I’d imagine Genoa is a tad nicer than Leeds…
The obvious sticking point would be if Genoa players are expected to do a photo op at a children's hospital for Easter, as Spence no-showing one at Christmas is rumoured to be the reason why Leeds sent him back PDQ...
Some of the Leeds lads have claimed he called out Farke for dropping him in a recent match on top of already having timing issues as the reason Farke called it quits on his loan. Either way, a lot of the reasoning is coming down to attitude. ****ing idiot, the talent’s clearly there and he’d be good enough to play in this team if he weren’t a dick.
It's been suggested that the unnamed player who mouthed off at one of our training staff during our pre-season tour is likely Spence given how Ange didn't play him and Unpersoned him once we got back Can we stop signing Dalmats please?
It’d definitely make sense. His style of play seems almost a great fit for Ange-ball so for Ange to bin him off so quickly would imply it’s not a footballing ability decision.

Attitude seems a big thing with Ange so hopefully no more Spence’s, Ndombe’s are signed. Apparently it’s why he chose Vicario over others.
Would prefer it to be an obligation. Disappointed it’s not worked out for him, talent is without a doubt there but England just maybe ain’t the right country for him. Solomon is said to be back training soon too according to Dan KP so that’s great news but further puts emphasis on trying to get Gil out, as he won’t get on the pitch when Solomon returns, will struggle as it is once Werner is (soon) in.
Gil was a really ill timed and ill informed signing. When you consider how much he cost plus losing Lamela as part of the deal, sadly has to go down as one of our worst signings in recent years, and that's saying something.
People said the same about Sarr. As for losing Lamela, we were never gonna be able to outright sell a player who’d missed around 3+ seasons worth of football so incorporating him into the deal made sense at the time.
No one said the same about Sarr, not least because he cost a fraction of what Gil cost. The latter only ever impressed at relegation level Spanish sides. The jump from Leganes and Eibar to a top 6 PL side is enormous. He hardly set La Liga alight at Valencia either last season, so I'm not sure what we were expecting from him and I find that we are using the following sentence to describe far too many players of late: "Shame as he's clearly talented but..." Maybe they just aren't actually that talented?
Yes they really did because both he and Gil were signed in the same window and there were comments saying we shouldn’t be signing players for the future as we needed players for the now - I should know, I regularly debated against those statements saying we needed to sign both types. Sarr was signed from relegation level Metz too. Gil was £25m plus Lamela, Sarr was £15m, hardly a fraction.
