The Prime Minister has today said he would strongly support the Forfeiture Committee meeting to review Paula Vellenns CBE, which pretty much guarantees they will.
Been rewatching early episodes of Law And Order on My 5 seeing as a new series has started and rekindled my interest. It was good right from the start, got even better when Sam Waterston came in as McCoy (brilliant acting) and was even better still when the sublime Jerry Orbach entered as Lenny Briscoe. ( Briscoe to pathologist “ I know it is a bit early for a full report but can you give us a quick heads up?” Pathologist “ One drink max, no sign of sexual activity.” Briscoe ‘ Sounds like one of my dates.” Still, in my opinion, better than anything similar on now.
She's a reverend, someone should tell her we all have our crosses to bear, hand it back if you've any morals whatsoever
I watched it last night, an embarrassment that it’s gone this far and it’s had to hit the tv screens before they’ve agreed to speed things up
All these politicians that are now desperately scrambling to be on the right side of history is vomit inducing.
She stood down from the church in 2021, after it became apparent she was a vindictive, duplicitous, ****.
Just as a don't hold your breath sort of thing, the contaminated blood scandal of the 1970s and 80s is still ongoing, more inquires, meetings, discussions but still no end in sight. Last I heard was over 3/4 of those affected had already died. Not sure if any higher ups got punished for that either.
Fool me once. Netflix. Excellent. And v easy on the eye. One Life. Cinema. Some story. V well told and acted. So sad though to reflect that 'we' never learn (unnecessary horrific suffering around the world for so many innocent people). The World can be beautiful, and with some incredible people, but it is so ****ed up and it doesn't look like anything is ever going to change.
It was raised in the Commons that for the crimes she has allegedly committed, the maximum prison sentence is life.
It's being reported this morning, that two senior judges have written to the government, suggesting that the law is changed to allow for pretty much all the convictions to be quashed in one go (83 convictions have been quashed, but there's still around another 650 convictions that haven't been dealt with yet).
My apologies in advance but I have to disagree with your comments on “ fool me once “ Everyone has an opinion and not everyone likes one thing or another but in my humble opinion I thought it was absolutely crap. The acting was hammy at best and whoever wrote the script wants to get back to school, I mean asking a 12 year old to write it was a big daft. Michelle keegan did not in my opinion fit the character, ridiculously unbelievable and again in my opinion cannot act. As I said earlier it’s just my opinion so please don’t take it as anything else. The storyline was ok but could of been a lot better….
