If you’re ever in that position, go for it. Not sure how long you’ve been going to games but it’s never happened to me before. Not once. It was a one off.

No, don’t think you deserve a free pint because your mobile can’t get signal. If you want a pint when you’re locked in and they can’t take a payment from you… They should probably just give you one.

Don't think this free beer thing is an issue in itself. The WiFi going down isn't great but could've happened for a whole number of reasons. The decision to give free beer was probably made to protect minimum wage workers from abuse and it probably only came to a few hundred quids worth of beer. The correct call.

 

It just tells me we didnt have enough security employed to cope with any situation.

I would have just shut the tills and let them get on with it

 

What if letting them get on with it resulted in thousands of pounds worth of damages?

Where’s the business sense in that when you could have chucked about £500 at it in free pints?
