Controversial opinion I know, but I don't actually mind GNev as a co-commentator during the game. He talks crap at times, but so do nearly all of them. It's only after the game he remembers he's a prick and acts accordingly. The added bonus is that during a game you don't see his gob.
I just don't want to hear him sniping constantly. I would accept him being an arse as a pundit round the game but i can switch that off. I would not want Carragher at all either. I couldn't listen to his stuff. Just put bloody anyone else on there.
Carragher annoys me just as much. And Macmanamanamanaman. Neville is biased, but I can accept that, given his history. Imagine any of us trying to be impartial commenting on a Man U game.
As a commentator, he's alright, but he intentionally does the "jinx" attempt stuff when Liverpool are playing all the time
This is it, he is talking in hope rather than facts. He must’ve compared the first half v Newcastle to the united game half a dozen times… We had a goal chalked off, hit the woodwork, missed a penalty and were creating chances for fun - it was absolutely **** all like the game vs Utd. Just gets to spout it, unchallenged, whilst we’re trying to enjoy a game!
I've always preferred radio commentary anyway. You usually get a lot more insight, from most of the 5live ones at least anyway. The talksport ones usually are bit more partisan or inflammatory.
I put on the LFC own commentary for any match that's not televised now rather than bother hunt for streams. Its perfectly fine and brings me back to the start of sky and only having radio all of a sudden. I given we are the paying public watching the game on TV you'd "think" that the sky executives would think hmm pissing off the paying customers is not the best idea.
