23 wickets taken on day 1 of the South Africa v India test match in Cape Town.
SA out for 55, then India go from 153-4 to 153 all out, and there was still time for SA to lose 3 wickets in their second innings.
Crazy and looking like a pitch not fit for purpose.

That Calvert Lewin red was bizarre. Never a red. If you can’t lift your non tackling foot people are going to get broken legs as that is how you balance your body. Only someone who has never kicked a ball in their life could remotely see a red there.

So it's the last Sunday of the NFL regular season. Always a slightly melancholic affair as you know it's 8 months until you see most teams again, but less so when you make the playoffs. As it seems our record of not making the playoffs in consecutive seasons since I've been a fan looks like it's going to continue, I guess it's pretty much a dead rubber game. If Hall was starting then at least there would be something interesting. I guess a loss would be preferable but feels strange to want to lose, but most of all I want it to be entertaining, but when the stakes are so low, there's only so much entertainment you can get. Maybe a last minute loss with us being mathematically in the playoffs until like the two minute warning.

But even if by some miracle we make the playoffs, I could not even see us making much of an impression.

Saying that most of our losses have been one score so unless it's another Green Bay like disaster, our one playoff game would probably be interesting... But at this point I guess it's all about draft order.

At least I can root for the teams ahead of us in the draft. Come on raiders, bears and falcons

Our season was realistically done when Cousins tore his achilles. If he hadn't then we could have had a serious play off run with what Flores has done with the defence. Definitely a what if season.

Eh it could be better in the long run if manage to draft a good QB. Also if we finish bottom of the division, which is quite possible, we'd get a weaker schedule next year when Kirk wins the comeback player of the year award

I see cine made his first ever tackle in the NFL last week. So seeing if he can add to that is something to watch for I guess.

Well, the lions took the lead early. Sad times. Or glad times. I'm conflicted.

I like American Football. Been a Giants fan since the late 80s. However, what the hell is with all the praying these days? Makes my skin crawl.

Talk that O’Connell might be one of the casualties on Black Monday (tomorrow when traditionally coaches get sacked)

Be interesting, whilst I haven’t been overly impressed with him think Kwesi has not helped at all with his roster management and draft picks. I had assumed they both would be given 3/4 years as the roster needed a big rebuild when they arrived (full of aging players on, or about to be on, big money). There is no denying that Kwesi’s two drafts have been a disaster so far with basically no meaningful contributors across both drafts. So would’ve thought he would be the far more likely to be sacked at this stage

Bit harsh if Kevin does get fired. His locker room victory speeches are great. I feel like it would only happen if someone is already lined up. Maybe Harbugh or whoever people keep talking about?

As for Kwesi, Addison seems a good draft pick, and I reckon had Kirk stayed he'd have had a very good season. Ivan Pace was undrafted but still signed by him and he's done well. Um Blackmon made an interception and had some good tackles earlier in the season, though think he's been injured for a bit.

But yeah Cine turned out to be a disaster pick. Wonder how much is due to such a severe injury, I guess something like that takes some time to recover from, even if you're fit enough to play and he is basically a rookie. I'd like to think he's gonna make it one day.

You'd think Kwesi would get at least a few years though

Just as a wrote this JJ scored a touchdown and was booed by the lions fans as he did the griddy lol

And of course we couldn't go 60 minutes without Mullens throwing an interception.

Would have been two if not for a penalty

    And again.

I don't want him to be our back up next season. Moving the chains is meaningless when you're throw a minimum of 2 picks every game, and should have been 3

The problem is that Cousins is on a big contract, you can’t have a really good backup, also on good money, and have that much money invested in a position. Especially if they pay JJ QB money which is what he will be after.

It’s why getting a rookie QB is great if you get the right one. They earn basically **** all which means money can be spent elsewhere for the rookie contract years.

Anyway the Vikings lose and I think with the Titans win they move up at least one draft spot, still hoping they end up with a top 10 pick which should put them in a decent position to move for a QB. As I said before though they have so many holes they may think it is too expensive to move up and just stay with the picks they have to refill the roster. They should’ve traded Hunter and Smith at the trade deadline to get more picks, instead of being deluded idiots and thinking this was a playoff team

Titans finish 6-11 and Vikings 7-10 so no they don't.

Just checked, the Vikings currently are 10th pick. To stay there they need the Bears and Raiders to win. Lowest pick they can get is 12th if both of them lose

Regardless, I think they can trade up if they want to. A 10-12 pick would be fine for many teams not looking for a QB.
