That didn't take long did it.

Bristol City want Wolves star...Luke Cundle....the asking price is about £2 million.....Stoke have also shown interest.

At this rate we'll have no team left at all.....we'd be struggling in Div One let alone the Championship.

This transfer window is already a disaster for Argyle..... with Finn Azaz recalled and also it seems Luke Cundle on the way as well.

I think PAFC's resolve over not losing Morgan Whittaker will come under pressure during the month.....Clubs cannot help but notice that he is joint second in the scoring chart at the moment.......I'm hoping that his scoring doesn't drop off now that Azaz is not the provider anymore.

At least we have some control over that.....as long as Whittaker is not persuaded by King Cash that he is best somewhere else....I feel that his heart is at Argyle and he is still thankful we had the resolve to bring him back from the oblivion that was Swansea.

Holding on to him will tell other players (some still to come) that we look after our squad and our aim is not for looking for the quick buck turn around.

But if someone comes in with a substantial offer.....say 5/6/7/10 £million than we need to consider if that is enough to strengthen our squad overall .....and taking into account that Whittaker wants to move on for what would be a very good step up in wages.....then he would go with our blessing....now that would be a great profit for Argyle for £1 million spent only six months ago.

We do need Mumba to get his act together...are we playing him in the right position...maybe not...at least I've not heard any offers for him as yet......having Mumba in our own penalty box isn't a good idea....he has already literally taken the ball out of Coopers hands once for an OG......play him further up field....he is not a defender.

Not sure what the Gillesphey situation is at the moment.....talk of him failing a medical at Charlton.....not officially confirmed or denied as far as I know.....not the end of the world if he stays....a good squad member to have...with a good pass in him.

So Finn Azaz has signed a four and a half year deal with Middlesboro.....for an undisclosed amount.

Obviously there is no way we could have competed with that to satisfy Aston Villa.....Wish him well.....but no scoring against us this season please.

Neil Dewsnip has stated that Morgan Whittaker is not for sale during the January transfer window.

BUT he also stated that if a club came in for ANY Argyle player offering a high transfer fee....then the Board would discuss it.

They have to don't they, firstly to decide whether it's enough money to move the team forward and not back and secondly to be fair to the player.

Wolves have re-called Luke Cundle.....BUT to only LOAN him out to Stoke.

There was talk of both Stoke and Bristol City BUYING him.....but now it seems that he is only being Loaned out again....Why is that happening.....are Stoke paying his wages and with the option of buying him next summer....must be something like that.....seems strange otherwise.

He obviously played to well on Saturday.

I just love the two faced backstabbing crap that goes on in football. We were the club that gave Schumaker his chance and backed him as much as we could. That's both the Board and Supporters. But in true football tradition he goes from here and decides he will feck us over in the process. It's the unrest that this sort of thing creates that is the worst part. Have to say I have lost all respect for Schumaker now and I don't care that he is employed by Stoke now which is no excuse on his part.

If and that's a big IF Whittaker were to go this window then I am sure it would be for a minimum double figure £m amount and Argyle would not let him go for less. If somebody comes in with any sort of offer that is up there then I think it would be impossible for us to resist it and also upset the player by doing a Swansea on him and stopping him improving his lot. I feckin hate these windows.......

Talk amongst the Brentford fans that they have put an offer in for Morgan Whittaker.

I wonder how water tight our contract with Whittaker is.....we where keen to get him back....have Swansea negotiated a selling on fee.....and how hard have we made it for clubs to take him away from us.

If PAFC accept an offer for him (and Swansea get a fee as well) then I reckon it's got to be £15 million at least....we have just lost two major loanees and need serious money to compensate the loss..

If we say no to all offers....how long can we keep a players trust in us....if we're denying him to double or triple is wages.

Will we then become a club who continually sell our talented players....getting profit every time and therefore building up financial ability.....do we do that year after year and not getting relegated until we can afford to pay the going rate to our star players ....meaning that we no longer need to sell our cream.

I find this Luke Cundle situation rather unpleasant....It's as if Steven Schumacher is deliberately trying to damage Argyle for some reason.....Okay he knows what Cundle can do....so has he somehow talked Wolves into recalling him and loaning him to Stoke.

Wolves surely cannot be aggrieved at how Argyle are treating their player.....maybe Schumacher has guaranteed Cundle will be the first name on the team sheet....which Argyle were not doing.

Why would Schumacher be interested in damaging Argyle.....straight on top of Argyle losing Finn Azaz.... this just feels vindictive.....It makes the trip to Stoke later in the season interesting.

Firstly, to repeat myself, it always has been part of the strategy to bring in good young players and sell them on. Not this quickly though and not in respect of loan players.

The one potential weakness Cundle has is his size. He’s not very big. Depending on what sort of football you want to play, that could be a handicap. To what extent is Schumacher going to be given the money and time to reshape the Stoke team into an “Argyle” style?

What Schumacher has signed is a player who wasn’t in our First 11 a fortnight ago. All I can say is I wish Luke Cundle all the best. A decent player who deserves a chance.

Obviously fits the "with promise" requirement: current England Under 19's captain, first game in the Championship aged 17 and 45 days. Signed by Spurs aged 18 for "a seven figure sum".

"Speaking in November 2021, then first team manager Tony Mowbray described Phillips as "phenomenal" and commented that as well as being 6 ft 4' tall Phillips had great ball-playing ability. Mowbray stated, "He's fast, mobile and can pass it really well. He can use both feet, he's composed ... if you were to create a defender in the mould of how you would want one, this kid has got every attribute."

The downsides are: "centre-back" and "under 19".

Yes ...INCOMING...eighteen year old centre-back Ashley Phillips 6ft 4in Spurs lad ......for the rest of the season.....or until someone steals him from us.

Ian Foster must know him from the England U18/U19 set ups....maybe his choice.....no first team experience at Spurs.....so a bit of a learning curve for an 18yr old ?

He has 8 appearances for Blackburn in the Championship and another 4 in the League Cup, But I agree.... CB is one of those positions.... and there are some good strikers in this league. But let's not judge before he's kicked a ball for us.

CEO Andrew Parkinson at a press conference today....(which introduced New Coach Ian Foster to the press)....was adamant that PAFC have received no offers for Morgan Whittaker....who celebrated his 23rd birthday yesterday.

Whittaker has 3.5 yrs left on his contract.....Parkinson said that Whittaker is happy being here....and playing for Argyle....and wants to stay here....Argyle are saying that Whittaker is going nowhere.

As Joe says Brentford are supposed to be offering £10 million for Whittaker....but Argyle have no knowledge as yet of such an offer......and do not want him to leave......as long as Whittaker thinks the same then I see no reason why he will not see out the season here.
