3 Pro fouls. 3 yellows. all the ref did was if a player said **** off he booked them (1 each) then just booked pull backs. delighted to see us make those fouls to shut danger off.
I enjoyed that game - even when we were coughing up chances l, r & c - because I wouldn't have minded going out. Anything but a draw. Now we've won it's a very important win obviously.
Unless they were named Odegaard; he showed descent three times and dragged players back twice with zero consequence
Quansah grew very well into the game. A bit shakey in the first 15, but after that he looked really good. Bradley, nice little cameo. Shut Martinelli down in the last 10min, after he'd looked lively against TAA.
There were at least two clear shoulder to shoulder challenges that were given as fouls - it's as though any contact isn't allowed any more - apart from hugging people and pulling them over in the box.
yeah the one where jota hit the bar the slow mo showed an absolutely clear holding foul in the middle. nunez lol. how does he scoop that wide from there.
We have psychological advantage over Arsenal , they are going to fear us in our next game in the league
yeah I was wondering if that was a steward or sub or what it was but it was a black beanie that emerged from the crowd.
So Arsenal clearly had the better chances in the first half, but luckily for us they played Havertz. Second half we played better and had a few chances ourselves, although the first goal was an OG you only get them in that way by putting pressure on defenders. The two kids that came on did well and Diaz finished the game off nicely, there was always a chance of a second on the break as Arsenal poured everyone forward for the equalizer. Must admit I was very nervous in the first half and my beer was as well as it seemed to evaporate more quickly than normal!! Watch us draw City away in the next round.
that would never happen to city. it'll be man utd away if they get through.l of course. there was no real shocks so far right?
Brown envelope says different City to get someone like Plymouth (lower league, but not low enough to create a potential story) We'll get Brighton or Chelsea
What a result that is. looking forward to playing away at villa or United in the next round. City probably disappointed they have to pay for another crap draw for us and not just a cosy home game for them
