Aye I agree, loved Mr Lees. My mam and dad still live in Witherwack so used to call in now and again.
In reality,Jordan doesn't need selling the idea of coming home. It'll happen at some point. Say we go up next season, he's 33, still a player, who knows. He's won everything there is to win at club level. As for international, close but no cigar. imo, the lad himself wouldn't disgrace the shirt of the club he loves buy rocking up at 37 years old and possibly with 1 foot in retirement. IMO, if he's going to do it, he'll do it while he'll still have something to give. be it next year or the year after.
Pure nostalgia. My Dad used to go there after the Friday night out with his brothers (didn't drink, was the driver, went for the crack), he'd come in with all sorts that was going in the bin, Lee would chuck extra chips, curry, crackers, allsorts in. Class
Jimmy the butchers for a sarny or a hot dog (layed out flat on a burger bun)If Redmonds q was out the door.
If he eventually comes, even if we realise that his legs are failing hes still a good sort to have hanging around, and who knows? Coach? Or He could by our next manager somewhere down the line.
I know for a fact he's just build a brand new house in Durham. Could mean absolute nothing but you never no.
Yeah I think if he was to rejoin us it wouldn't be a self indulgent thing on the verge of retirement, it'd only happen if he felt he was young enough to have an impact and help push the club forward.
Getting ready to sign for the Mags, and lead them to domestic and European glory, after all Durham is mag country,,,,isn't it? All them flags say it is....
Probably right mate, but I hope the club don’t touch him with a barge pole. + he wants to come back to the premiership.
Issued a come and get me plea to premier league teams. Gonna cost him about £7m in tax! Jordan Henderson is desperate to RETURN to the Premier League in a move that would cost him a perso… https://mol.im/a/12933413 via https://dailym.ai/android
Very tricky to do. As a player, it's a no-brainer, but we have to consider the money and the PR around a move. Is he the same player as well. Six months in a joke league at an age where your physical attributes can decline very quickly and his game is based on graft.
I reckon we would be daft to not even try to bring him home, although I still think he’s a massive hypocrite for going over there in the first place. He will get some stick for how it played out, especially from lgbtq groups. He’s a strong character though and I bet we would be on with a massive chance of getting him (subject to wages)
Yeah would the club risk the PR? Especially after recent off the field events. Mags would lap it up too after so many fans called him a sell out etc, me included. I don’t give a **** what they think though
