Haven't heard anything. A lot of the angry nay sayers were stating that allowing 6k was a threat to life apparently so interested to hear the hot takes on that

Minor skirmishes outside the NS but nowt major. Was talking to a couple of coppers outside the SEC before the turnstiles opened and they had coppers up from the Met, Wales and Yorkshire for this one. Got dropped off next to the Beacon about half 10 and drove along the 1231 and they were standing in pairs about every 200m or so with their riot gear.

Ok, I've caved and watch it. And while he makes some obvious points, and this isn't said in a huffy kickoff way, I don't need someone like him, that quite frankly knows the square route of f**k all about our club and has been here for 5 minutes asking me/us to stick by our club after that today.

Effort. I understand they’re a better team but i can’t get over how little we put ourselves about. Really poor

Beale has a long way to go to win the fans over, I’ve so far seen nothing to suggest he has brought new ideas or tactics other than playing Rusyn.

I’ll still give him time like.

There’s a hell of a lot of touchy people on here tonight!

    Mowbrays last 9 games = 8 points
Beales first 4 league games = 7 points

Doing pretty well is he not? Harsh to judge him on today when the other coach has players worth 100m+.

    *updated version

Beale has a long way to go to win myself and no doubt quite a few other fans over, personally I’ve so far seen nothing to suggest he has brought new ideas or tactics other than playing Rusyn.

I’ll still give him time like.

    Brilliant photo that lads.
We froze. The 420 million pound squad played away at PSG, Dortmund and Milan. To think they would be intimadated was naive. Can see why he picked same 11 as Preston but **** me the midfield and defence needed help. 541 or 342 was needed. Full backs were up against 2 on 1 and our midfield was overran. They only missed 2 good chances though. We gifted them the 3 goals. Bit of luck at 2-0 that deflection may have gone in. I'm as upset as I was when we lost to Fulham last season. Make me any less of a lads fan?

I’m definitely not judging him on today, I wouldn’t have judged Mowbray (or any other manager) on today either as the gulf is too wide between the teams.

It’s more of a general observation and nothing really seems to have changed. Mowbray was on a bad run I agree the points have been ok considering.

I’ll also still give the bloke time as I’m not one to write off someone straight away.

We could have made a few subs a bit earlier but it wouldn't have made any difference, there wasn't a lot Beale could do. When it was revealed they were playing their first team in its entirety the writing was on the wall. Would have been the same result under Mowbray or Pep.

I don't think anyone is blown away by Beale but it's going to take time for him to get to know the squad and figure out how best to use it. I've liked his teams so far and he seems to be a logical guy who talks sense.

Got a decent amount of points too which is what matters, frivolous cup games against barbaric countries aren't important.

Mowbray took 9 points from his first 7 games
Beale has taken 7 points from 4.
He got our striker scoring - something Mowbray couldn't or wouldn't do.

In an ideal world, the Head Coach isn't noticeable. Bit like a good referee. Beale is doing ok

As a side note: Jobe needs taking out of the team and given a week off. He looks knackered, same as what Alex Neil did with Dan Neil.

He is, I especially like how he's noticed how handy Rusyn is and is backing him. You wouldn't think it's a difficult spot but Mowbray had no idea.

I don't think Beale wants to do anything drastic he wants to get to know the squad and make changes that are justified not just rolling the dice.
