I think he was given a lesson of I’m honest. He showed the odd flash of ability but dominance wise overrun. I hate the bastards but they were too draw in misfield including the smack rats on the left and right.

That’s what I was saying before the match, apart from Wilson, who was missing from this so called lengthy injury list

No way do I want us to go up, the Mags barely got out of 2nd gear to stroll to a 3-0 win :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Think that’s a bit harsh “given a lesson” he wasn’t given much support in the middle tbf

Yet, despite strolling, they had to be gifted all three goals. Huffed and puffed for me.was very much like the Leeds game, but we gave them the goal head start and then laid the second on a plate. I honestly think they’d still be playing now without creating a goal Themselves

Another question that I keep asking is when the Saudis start singing songs with “geordie” involved,do the County Durham lads feel included <doh>

I think our whole midfield were tbh. I rate Neil dontt get me wrong. I know they should never have had Saudi money to buy them but in particular Linton, Guimaraes and Longstaff as a unit just played like they’d seen it all before. The difference is, they have seen it all before and ours are learning.

We continued playing out from the back - much to the chagrin of our fans - because we simply couldn't play it long. The ball just kept coming back. It's a moot point, but Ross Stewart up front gives us a different option.

Don't get me wrong we shot ourselves in both feet then did it another time just to make sure, but we are way off PL standard and today just underlined that to me.

What. As usual. I leave whenever it's not competitive. What is issue.

The first thing you do when your team is struggling or you're up against very superior opposition is go tight and simple, which usually means direct. We're not set up for that. We're a side that's designed to play football. In the league that's fine. In a game like today, we're always going to struggle. To go up and stay up playing that way, the team will need to do a lot of developing but that's the plan, and I'm fine with it.

We’ve done this all season, though. We always play in front of the opposition. We never even attempt a ball in behind to even make their defence think. I can accept being not as good as them - that’s expected. I just don’t understand the tactics. I think anyone can see that.

Thats right now, doesnt mean to say promotion this season then cone August were not at a level to do well.... remember these young players will improve all the time, rather than decline like players we have signed in the past.....we may or maynot be ready to go up this season....right now, start of January 2024 window we aren't close to PL ready....decent recruitment this window, decent player growth to end of season & decent summer window...we dont know....if were not....we go again August stronger although we would loose a few

I'm far happier now than I was a decade ago. It's gruelling seeing us scrape points here and there in the Premier League then celebrate like we've won the Champions League when we manage to stay up at last game of the season.

I was far happier this time last year but I do see your point and know where you're coming from on the grim PL annual relegation battle.

With Rusyn in the side now, I can see the point of trying to put him in a foot race against their centre backs. I don't think he's the out the ball we needed today though. It doesn't stick with him.

Our best central striker this season has been Jobe.
He hasn't been picked to play there since he got the winner v Leeds. Genius management.
