Well, he was only 20 when he joined us and had pace, was strong, got stuck in etc. Most of us at the time believed he was a raw talent who could improve the technical side of his game but physically he was and probably still is the most athletic player in the squad. He’s the perfect physical template for a footballer. I still maintain that the hamstring injuries severely stunted his development, not only physically but mentally as well. He can only gain confidence and improve by playing consistently and he’s not getting that here. I still think there’s a player in there.
Dont think it’s such an issue for us. We have a lot of fringe players and young players knocking on the door. The trouble is, it won’t be a settled side and the chances are we play **** and lose, I always think those sort of performances do more harm than good to those involved and put a bit of a downer on the mood around the club as a whole, first team included.
He had a good 1st half, was moved to the right and struggled the same way Lokilo did out there. On the left we had a LB and both Ally and Vaughan working for each other but on the right there was nothing happening partly because we had no overlapping LB. I agree there is a player in there.
Still in the hat at least. Can anyone explain how they found a way to watch a stream of the game (pay or otherwise) - I seem to have had a problem with all suggestions ! I'm just a daft sod of course !
yes and he was obviously very disappointed and looked very dismayed when he came off. But not suprised since he contributed very little once again.
Presumably it will be Tuesday 16th as we have a TV game on the Friday, so suspect it can't be the Wednesday. Good. I should be able to go to that.
I agree. We could go there and use our better players and more than likely beat them but we risk injuries. If we go with a weakened side we risk going out of the Cup...Tricky one from the Club's perspective. I'd quite like us to have a Cup run this season, others won't,I get that in some ways.
Nearly every time he gets the ball he does the same thing cuts inside very rarely goes on the outside to the byline and gets cross pulled back into the box. Easy for their left back to figure him out. Bit of a one trick pony.
