He might as well just walk onto to the training ground and ask who wants to play? But then he'll have the selection headache of how to choose the other 9!
I know we won’t anyway but I quite like the idea of trying to win a game of football. There’s a full week to rest after this. Bournemouth have a break coming up so doubt they’ll rest many.
I'm usually of the same opinion regarding cup games, but imagine the pelters Marti would get if one or two players pick up long term injuries when they could have been rested?
That can happen in any game though. They’re all made of tissue paper anyway and the majority of them are **** including the ones we think are quite good. Willock got injured by a ball hitting his leg at Ipswich. The cup is our one chance to make this season vaguely interesting. But if he takes that view after I’ve paid £20 plus train to watch it, at least play all the kids. Can’t be arsed watching Adomah and Richards ponce around.
I thought Marti had already said that Willock and Chair won't be fit for this game but he expects both to be available for the next home game !
I'm not going because I can see nothing but a defeat. I hope he plays all the fringe players and that one or two stake claim for a first team place ahead of the wasters.
Don't claim to be an expert on the Bournemouth side, but a mate who supports them suggested to me this week that they'd be playing weakened side.
