Not at all. We can also call him thug, and make completely unjustified innuendos about both his and Wenger's sexuality. Oh, and it does sound like a good cause, and worth supporting.
You just made me Google "Young Willie" to find out who that was. Time to delete my history, I think...
Actually, by making a bet (of any denomination) it demonstrates that he is more confident of Arsenal finishing above spurs, than had he made no bet at all.
Should be easy money when considering how your lot are going to win the title this season <giggles> Why not take his money off of him?
Yet this smiley was made with you in mind... please log in to view this image ...all over abit quickly!...it has to be you!
I think the amount was kept to that level to keep in with the spirit of the bet, rather than reflect his wages. The deal was that Spurs fans following him on twitter agree to pay £1 if Arsenal finish above Spurs. - Not sure how many of those there are.... but it would seem reasonable that there's parity in the bet. Not sure why referring to the Gift Aid component would mean that Wilshere hasn't thought things through, but as a regular contributer to Charity - both through The Jack Marshall brain tumor charity and Arsenal's charity - Great Ormond St - I'm sure he's aware of how gift aid works. Ultimatley - it is a light hearted bit of banter with Spurs fans, in which either way a charity wins - personally I think that is how to demonstrate a rivalry in a positive spirit.
