Apparently Trippier is fit to play. He infuriates me when I watch him play against neutral sides, I can’t imagine how wound up he’s going to get me in a match against us with a weak, Premier league regular referee with no VAR.

He’ll be setting out to curry favour with the Mag fans too, I fully expect to see some naughty challenges from him on Clarke at least.

He is the embodiment of everything that is bad about Simeone’s style and coaching.

 

The form he's in and considering the off field stuff I hope he does play.

I bet Clarke has gone to bed tonight a happy bunny now that Trippier may be playing. My heart wants a draw tomorrow so we can win at their place. However, my brain is saying we have got this tomorrow so 2 - 0 to the lads. Clarke and Rusyn. Want Man City next so bit by bit we can sort the Middle East out. I don't think Trippier will be able to handle Clarke, so this is good news. We struggle against teams that double up on Clarke but hopefully Howe is in an idiot and does not. The challenge will be getting the ball out to him high enough. I think to win the game it will need to be something like 3-2. I don't think we'll be able to contain them. But let's see. I feel like we are always better than them in every way that matters off the field, let's see if tomorrow we can match them and beat them on the field. Ha'way the Lads!
