My son emailed Chris Waters who responded that they are putting extra buses on and tfatbtgey will be leaving from normal pick up points. Based upon this I assume Kier Hardy Way is only closed to all other traffic apart from buses, so stopping the cars who normally park there to pick up after the game.

It might well have been due to FA rules about no political statements. That display, which would have loved to have seen would be covered by the rule. Now if individuals or groups want to make their own anti sports washing, pro human rights, anti Saudi banners that is different.

in the ground I hope we make our dislike of the Saudi owner very clear and very loud so that it can be heard clearly on the TV,

Good stuff. We normally walk up the street behind kier Hardy way (the one just open for the normal buses) then up through Carley Rd so hopefully there isn't any bother getting out

Spot on mate. First of all, I can't see that firm from Gateshead being allowed anywhere near the SOL in future.

The employee(s) who should have been responsible for supervising the work, should be given a fair chance to explain their actions (or lack of them) and following that, an appropriate 'punishment' should be dished out. The form of punishment should definitely be kept in-house. We shouldn't wash our dirty linen in public.

I agree, the Mags would love us to announce they'd been involved in getting one of our staff sacked.

I'd be disappointed if the club made such an announcement tbh.

My biggest concern about this game are the officials and no VAR. Gives Pawson a free hand to send one of ours off and give them a penalty.

Yes on paper the players they have are arguably 1 for 1 better than ours and they should beat us. But home crowd and a boiling cauldron of hate towards them may just swing it in our favour.

Marvellous work from RTB as usual. Thankyou
If we lose, then at least let it be by some good football - then it's a case of expected because of their money.
I feel however, that because they are a bit worried , Howe will instruct them to play on our young age and bring on the tomf**kery and referee pressure that we know they are well capable of and adept at , and we have a ref who will fall for it all

As much as us fans would have loved it the club had no choice but to refuse that.

That kind of lack of transparency will open the club up to further criticism imho. They'll be accused of brushing it under the carpet.

Great thread again RTB and a much busier one than normal. Unbelievable Jeff. Its a Derby they on paper should win fortunately footy isn't played on paper. Got to get at them harass them all over the park and not let them have a second, as for the match well difficult game but anything can happen. Let's have everyone unite behind the lads for a couple of hours they deserve our support . Make it a hell for the black and white howers. Remember the pressure is all on them and keep the faith lads and lasses. Haway the lads.

Is anyone going towards Newcastle, by car, after the game ...

... there's two of us need to catch a train back to Fife and the Metro was a shambles after the last home game.
