After reading the above link I am fed up with this very Bristol City statement in that "he is one for the future". What exactly does that mean because I would suspect it means we can beef up the lad in experience and then possibly set him up for sale at a decent fee plus add-ons at a later date. I am just tired of the nonsense coming from Ashton Gate after all of the high expectations sowed by our owner and the board as what I see is a total lack of ambition and desire at the top and yet that's exactly what they demand from the players they hire. Cart and horse come to mind and you had better choose which goes first down the usual dead-end or one-way street. I knew this transfer window would be no different than many others and from what I see so far I won't get too excited or expect too much.

 

To be quite honest who has the better pedigree going forward -certainly ain't Bristol City is it. Boro over us every time.

Because he wasn’t that player then. It does puzzle me though, as LJ clearly saw his potential by signing him, but maybe we couldn’t wait 3+ years for that potential to be realised, who knows?

 

IT DIDNT TAKE 3 YEARS he went on loan to Peterbro who signed him at end of it because he was laying on goals and scored 4 in 10 appeareances [ not all starts] this season has excelled 19 goals [ bit like Weimann! ]

L1 though, not Championship, so not comparable. He only really started to shine towards the end of last season and obviously this season at Championship level
