Greaves is pretty much rested for all cup games. Connolly goes down in pretty much every game for medical attention, and has a history of injuries. I suspect both will be on the bench.
He does it after half an hour in every game. It’s a ruse that allows Rosenior to brief the players on the touch line.
He's actually barely missed a game all season, but there's this really dominant belief that he's had an injury-plagued season. Really strange.
Out of possession Allsop Slater Smith Jones McLoughlin Jacob Lokilo Morton Doc Vaughan Allahyar In possession Allsop Slater/Smith Smith/Jones McLoughlin Jacob Slater/Jones Morton Lokilo Vaughan Doc Allahyar I would imagine we'll rest Connolly too. Depending on what faith LR has in Jacob he might push him on to wide left in possession, with Vaughan central behind Allahyar. If Doc isn't been risked it would be as above but with Tufan or Twine, they would then push on as a 10 with Vaughan wide. In essence when in possession Slater or Jones would move infield to be the double pivot with Morton.
He missed a few games with his toe injury early in the season and he missed West Brom when it flared up again.
He was on the bench though, 23 appearances this season, was on the bench for WBA Brum and Preston but didn’t get on so technically available but not risked
He wasn’t available for West Brom, his toe flared up after he was named on the bench, Rosie wanted to bring him on but couldn’t.
Thought he might start where we finished with Greaves & Allahyar up front and Sharpe to replace Greaves at HT, love FAC3.
if we are talking about Connolly. He has had 12 appearances from the start, so far, and come on as a sub in 11. Only games he hasn't appeared in are: Birmingham (a), PNE (h), WBA (a).
Hopefully we go through and have a great cup run, but without being drawn away against any Premier League clubs. Purely because if you are you have to suffer ****ing VAR. Strange there’s different rule application at different grounds, but there you go.
