Why does not conceding a goal matter? If you win every single game you’ve got max points and win every trophy. Can’t do better.

Otherwise it’s impossible as if not conceding is important then scoring is important and there’s an infinite number of goals you can score in a season

If you ask a manager, they'd rather win a game 2-0 than 3-1 because they'd like the cheek sheet. That's perfection; win with a clean sheet.

Also what’s perfect. Is 2-0 perfect or 3-0? If 3-0 is what’s 4-0?

 

Key word here mate is "perfect"

Win and clean sheet in every game is THE maximum you can ask for.

Winning whilst conceding isn't a "perfect" game

Perfection would also include not misplacing a pass, not committing a foul and generally zero mistakes, etc. An impossible possibility.


Edit; in reality, I was talking the piss following MITO's claim you have to be "perfect" to beat Man City. You don't, you just have to be better. No team will ever be perfect

Perfection in football is an impossibility

 

See the sim of football is to win. It’s not about keeping clean sheets. So a perfect season would be winning every game to me, doesn’t matter how it’s done.

As I say, if you’re saying you have to not concede to be perfect, how many do you have to score to be perfect? Or does that not matter - in which case why does how many goals you score not matter but how many you concede is?
