The trouble is when the ref is called to the screen, it's virtually got to the stage where you are looking at a frame, rather than the entirety of the move, so in the frame it looks bad - the pundit in the studio saying the ref can go with his instinct, well he already had before he was sent to the screen. It's easy to sit on your arse in a studio and blame the ref, you've never been in that situation.
