The bare minimum is that someone/somebodies lose their jobs. What was going to be a tinderbox match on Saturday, has suddenly had flammable material thrown onto it. I Hope I am wrong.

But what danger is there to just post what you know? And if you don't want to post it don't then mention that you know something and that you have told someone but won't tell everyone.

Apparently all police leave has been cancelled and the army put on standby ... an emergency government Cobra meeting has been called.

How many, of those absolutely outraged, will be putting themselves where their mouths are?

I would like to apologise to @RTB for the way his match day thread has been hijacked. You put a lot of hard work and time into these threads and they should be respected as such especially as there are other threads discussing other aspects of the match

Haway mate. Surely you agree it was ridiculous to allow it to get as far as it did. It lit a fire under me when I saw the pics. It should never have happened and I dont think supporters are in the wrong to react badly. The good thing is the top man has shown a level of understanding and taken action and leadership. But I dont feel like I am any less of a fan for instantly feeling angry when I saw what had been put up in that area of the ground. The tickets and most other things I am ok with, or understand it, but I cannot sit back on this one and say cest la vie. It will be up to the investigation to establish if a sacking is needed. I am not particularly interested either way and hope it is kept in house. But we arent daft lads for showing some anger. My opinion anyway.

Yeah sorry seen that now and also had a call from a mate who said that the contractor for the SOL are jonsigns from Gateshead and have been the contractor for years. They were told to cover up some of the signage and were then left to do the job. That has led to this. But to be fair not as good as the sunderland strip on the angel of the North but has managed to cause some real mayhem nonetheless
