Posted on the other thread that Bob started, but looks as though the club (and KLD) knew nothing of these banners.

After calling our owner worse than ****, who's going to be man enough to apologise?

Ok. Can we just look at this.

You think a signage company managed to do the following, all without the club knowing about it

Measure up in a secure area

Go away, design and produce said signage

Come back, install and fit in the exact places they were measured in the first place

Then not get paid from the club as they knew nothing about it ?

From what I've seen they're instead calling him a liar and saying he did know and is only backing down because he's been caught out.

People need to grow up AND establish the facts before throwing this stuff around.

See this doesn't help, everyone is entitled to their opinion on whatever subject but saying people need to grow up is just fishing for a reaction.

We are an incredibly passionate fan base and both these banners and the fact they were given the BCB in the first place has wound up a hell of a lot of loyal fans, myself included. It could have been avoided thats for sure.

It could have. That's exactly it. But we wanted to make more money. Simple as that.

Sunderland AFC acknowledges that a serious error in judgement was made in relation to Black Cats Bar earlier this afternoon.

We apologise to our fans for the understandable concern they have fairly voiced in response and this sentiment is shared by the Club’s Ownership Group and Board of Directors, who have requested an immediate review is undertaken to determine how this process unfolded.

A direct decision has also been taken by the Ownership Group and Board of Directors to return the space to its original state and we once again apologise to our supporters that this was not addressed sooner.

Exactly this.

Was Davison put in when Donald left or during under ownership? Just had a quick look for someone I knew was working at the club alongside Davison and he now works for TAH investments - Donald’s company. Could’ve f*cking taken that useless c*nt with him anarl.

Correct.

My opinion is that a lot of our fans are entitled, reactionary cry babies who seek out any opportunity to criticise the club. First the Beale appointment, then the ticket allocation and now the BCB banners. We as a fan base have come across terribly in recent weeks.

But that's OK I'm not allowed an opinion because I wasn't born in an SR postcode.

Complete conjecture to suit your argument. Neither of us know how this came to pass, I'm just amazed you aren't trying to find someway to blame Speakman

You are though

Talking about the blame game, Wetherspoon is loving this I see on Twitter. Back to the “we’ve been misled the whole time” conjecture.

I just want to enjoy the football man, it’s messing with my derby buzz!

Well it's not. Club have said they have made the error in judgement. So your stance was completely incorrect.

"They" being the operative word. Collective responsibility rather than hanging someone out to dry. In an organisation that big it's entirely feasible that work goes on without the owner knowing.

So MY stance is equally as plausible as yours which you'd see if you could climb down off your high horse

Yeah possibly but as I said, someone signed off on it so they knew and should have a P45 returned

Imagine actively wanting someone to lose their job in the current climate. For an error of judgement or an oversight.

Yeah. Sure he won't be short of a few quid or pension.

And aye, a mistake this big has a price to pay. Don't want incompetent or weak leaders at the club.
