Who is going to laugh at it other than the Mags? I was out with a Cambridge Utd fan, an Arsenal fan, a Spurs fan and ‘fans’ of ManU and Liverpool last night. They barely knew the match was happening much less cared a jot about it.

If I was the club now, I think the only way of pacifying some of our fans (not all), is by coming out with a clear statement that says something like:

"... part of the agreement was that the Black Cats Bar would have anything Sunderland branded removed. The team who were responsible for this put up additional signage which was not agreed to and disappointed the club. We have asked them to remove it."

or someting like that.

Won't appease everybody because I think the damage is done, and people will be upset that anything was given away anyway. But it would be a start to at least explaining the stupid decision.

Mind, if anyone is really worried about what others think of us then I can guarantee they were laughing much more when we were playing terrible football with ****e players in league 1. We’re generally perceived pretty favourably by neutrals now based on our approach and that’s down to KLD.
