How much exactly is 'a lot' in relative terms? Especially considering the loan agreement is being terminated and he's going back within half a season? A loan is always going to be a more limited risk than a permanent which comes with a 3 or more year cotractural liability. It's a signing that didn't work out. At least we limited our risk and it's in the process of being resolved. It's not an expensive mistake in the greater scheme of things.
Seems to be a tenuous link to a 22 year old winger from Bath. Hope hes ready to hit the ground running in the championship otherwise he'll be written off as a waste of money within 4 months if he's not ready to start.
They’re 2 of the only players doing it consistently for us at the minute. Rosenior keeps talking about the bigger picture but he’s going to have to replace those 2, Greaves, arguably Seri and maybe even Tufan if he carries on at the end of the season. Does anyone else trust Rosenior/Acun/Tan to build a better squad with a decent wedge?
It's a bit of a double edged sword with both of them. They've came here and improved their chances of moving up a level with their performances. They stick out like sore thumbs at Championship level and will surely be catching the eye of Clubs willing to get involved in a bidding war to secure their services.... Sadly,I don't think we've got the kind of money to get involved in the bidding when it starts?
Puzzled by the reference to Woods and Jarvis, is there a rule that says they cant play for us since they played for Shelbourne?
I believe you can only play for 2 clubs in one season, so if they played a game for us they wouldn't be able to then go elsewhere on loan having already played for Sherbourne and us.
Twine was steadily improving, despite playing most of his games not in his natural position. Had an excellent game v Cardiff and scored a great freekick. Then he appears to have had one poor game (not the only one) and suddenly people are on his back again. I'd definitely like to keep him if we can.
But unless Jacob plays out of his skin I can't see why we would extend his deal. Seems a bit like the clamour for Chadwick to be involved because of his local links.
Apparently we've got some sort of arrangement with Hastings United, no idea what sort of arrangement, but apparently the manager and a team are coming up to our place shortly.
Jacob had a good loan in national league north a couple of seasons ago then had a bad injury. He's highly rated even though he's lost a year of his development. I would just wait and see on him, but he should have a future at some level or other.
It’s actually the opposite, he has a good game then everyone pretends like he’s been playing like that for a while. When in reality he’s been average at best for his term here. He’s been dropped the last 2 games for a reason
The side that can get outclassed by Sheff Wednesday without 1 player in the side? No senior left back, 1 fit winger who is cack, 3 wins in 8. Not looking good
So the Wednesday game is a reflection of the whole season and the fact we're a point off the playoffs now does it? Quite apart from the fact we'll be strengthening lb and out wide this month. Jesus christ.
