So he’s kept three clean sheets but conceded an average of two goals per game in the other ten that he’s played in. Hopefully he’s been playing behind the shocking defence. It’s a bit left field this one.
Forest were after him in the summer and West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton were all been linked with signing him previously, so presumably he's half decent.
Don’t play in Serie A and get capped for Poland if you’re not at least half decent. Also reckon we could tempt Rotherham with 1.5m + Ingram for Johannsen
Clean sheets aren't always a keeper stat. That Johansson at Rotherham barely keeps any but he's highly regarded
Jacob is a strange one really. He's 23 in June has only played once. We have Fleming under contract for another couple of years and Jake Leake who is only 20 and is injured on loan at Tranmere. If we are going to sign a first choice left back just not sure there will be room for Jacob.
Do we have Jarvis and Wood available now? Wood could be useful in midfield while Morton is suspended.
I think they’ll be hanging fire as they’ve both played for another side which is a real shame because we could do with a pacey direct winger in Jarv at the minute
I keep seeing Johannsen mentioned, but at Rotherham he just hoofs it. Is there any evidence that he can play with his feet?
Yeah absolutely, it's because that's Rotherham's game which is fair enough, but it just makes me wonder whether the reason he's still at Rotherham is that he can't do the things with the ball that top teams need their keepers to do. He may well have that skillset, I don't know, but I just think it's a question worth asking when considering him for City.
And Furlong. So that's Fleming, Furlong, Jacob, and Leake. Then Vinagre who's been inot ready, not fancied and injured at different times. What a cluster ****. And some wonder why we question. #can'thavetoomany....LB's
I mean Furlong was almost certainly Rosie, Vinagre was supposedly top choice which means surely Rosie approved that?
Never understand this way of thinking you take promotion whenever you can as it puts us in a far better position financially , we come down ? So what we would be in a far better position to go back up and stay there.
Fleming and Vinagre are finished with us, it's just a case of resolving their exits. Leake's only 20 and getting his first taste of league football at Tranmere for the season. Furlong's been deemed not ready and will almost certainly go out on loan this window (probably to Scotland). Jacob will presumably start on Saturday and depending on how he gets on, is most likely to stay as No.2 to whoever we bring in in the next weeks or so.
